Set theorem, where the symbol ∈ denotes membership in a set. As is A ∈ B

It doesn't denote hierarchy in that set, only membership.

I belong to the subset hominids, it does not indicate that I am "owned" by all other homonids. It only denotes we are members of the same set.
well said! 👍👍👍

OK. Give scripture that says offerings are a commandment.
The Bible presents tithing and offerings as commandments, with verses from both the Old and New Testaments emphasizing giving to God. Key scriptures include Leviticus 27:30, Malachi 3:10, and 2 Corinthians 9:7, which set specific expectations for giving and promise blessings for obedience. So, have you robbed God lately?

2 Corinthians 9:7 shoots down the compulsory tithing argument.

No one said tithing is compulsory. Don’t move the goal post. Tithing is a commandment. But, each person has free moral agency to choose for themselves to adhere to the commandments or not. You can choose to rob God or not rob God. It’s as I said, you must give and not because you have to. You do it because you want to help build up the kingdom of God on earth.

I am perhaps in transition. It is odd though that when I watched one of the Rabbis on the internet, there were two commercials for Christian churches during the video. That is some aggrrssive recruiting efforts lol. Another Rabbi i've seen a couple of times, Rabbi Singer, sometimes debunks Christianity doctrine and has in the past expressed displesure with those.trying to convert Jews. They must advertise to recruit I suppose, .why would such ads appesrs on streams with Rabbis?

If it's "commanded" it's compulsory.

Who is to receive the tithes and offerings?

You are truly ignorant. I feel for you. Let me put it another way, you don't have to pay tithing if you don't want to. No Church leader will force you to do so. However, it will be a stumbling block at the judgment seat of God when you are asked "Do you love me?" Followed up by "Did you keep my Commandments or did you ROB me?" Jesus just said if you want to hang out with my group you can and you can pay tithing but we aren't going to force you to. But, you can hang out here on earth with us. But, when you get to the judgment seat, I'll look you in the eye and say, "Did you rob me?"

There is no 10 percent commandment in the New Testament. I skip the middleman and give directly to charities that have touched me. Churches have all they can do to keep the minister paid and the lights on. The only real Christian outreach comes from ministries that are set up to do just that.

Recall that Jesus told the young nobleman to sell all that he had and give it to the poor, not to him and the disciples. He also said that true religion was caring for the poor and helpless and keeping oneself unspotted by the world, not financing brick and mortar churches.

If someone pays tithes and offerings out of zeal or whatever and thus deprives himself and his family, then God has robbed him (been there, done that).

Jesus did not come to change the law. The 10 percent was already set. You are simply trying to wiggle out of the commandment. As far as the rich man, that had nothing to do with tithing. Stop being a hypocrite by saying you are Christian and can't even have the faith to give 10% of your increase and some extra for the poor and the needy. There will be a time when the law of consecration will be in effect and we all will give all to the Lord's kingdom. That will be during the millennium. But, that's for another thread on what is the Law of Consecration. And, how it works.

A lot is going to happen between now and judgment day. We're all a work in progress. :)

Leviticus and Malachi mentions tithes, not offerings. Corinthians specifically says there is no compulsion to give. You decide how much you want to give. If you decide nothing, that's Ok. You should find out what the Bible actually says instead of just relying on the false teachings you have always believed. I'll bet your belief that giving is a commandment isn't the only false teaching you tried to add to the Bible.

The Bible says not paying tithing is robbing God. It’s not okay. You should try actually reading the Bible. And Malachi does say offering. Not wearing your glasses again?
