Regards the OP, if Chauvin's lawyers are smart then they'll actually use this new incident to their advantage for appeal and point to the fact that this guy was also held down in the same way, for longer and never died. Thus making George Floyd a freak incident due to what was in his system drug-wise.

If Chauvin and officers in general have history on using this move and no-one's been "murdered" before, then why would the intent be there now?

I live in the Bay Area and I have seen the vids of AAPI People being attacked. One asshole got the surprise of his life when an elderly Asian-American Woman he attacked fought back, she put him in an ambulance. One guy an elderly Asian-American Man to ground and just walked away, that guy was caught as well.

I've witnessed first hand my Muslim-American Neighbor (lives across the street from me) being harassed as well, not to mention her children being bullied to the point where she had to take them out of school.

My Hispanic-American friends next door had ICE called on them, they had to prove they were in U.S. Born Citizens.
