People of a superstitious and unintellectual mindset seem to fear exaggerated potential of deaths or catastrophes, even when the facts indicate that dying from natural causes is more likely than from something "out of the ordinary", such as a flood, or a gunman.
The reality, of course is that most of the popular alarmist sentiments in regards to man-made global warming are childish superstitions which prey on the fear and impulses of the ignorant and emotionally uncontrolled, with their alarmism being humorous, and almost akin to fears of death by an authoritarian god for not "appeasing it".
This is why most if not all alarmist arguments in regards to GW should be ignored and taken no more seriously than the rantings and whining of an infant, much as all of the nonsensical proposals about how to actually deal with man-made global warming or other social concerns via childish policy proposals, often likely more than a placebo or "feel-good" ritual than an actual remedy, or the philosophical axioms that those proposals, or under what circumstances we should, or how we should deal with these issues which most of the ill-informed arguments on the subject are based on to begin with.
