One, the vast majority of wealthy people earned it on their own. It's a populist myth that most rich people inherited their wealth. Two, it very much is socialist in nature as it is wealth redistribution, but you're correct. We have all payed to educate other people's kids, pay for police and other public services, etc. so we've done enough. If you want to have a kid then pay for him yourself. There is no reasonable expectation that someone else should be paying for your child's daycare while you're off at work due to your own lifestyle choice. If you can't afford kids don't have them. I pay for mine; you can pay for yours.

Talking semantics is an issue. But theoretically. For over fifty years we have spent tens of trillions of dollars and tens of trillions of dollars more in every way to end poverty. Explain it to me how we have all these children in the streets starving. You know what is more maddening? South Korea was an agrarian chitthole for more or less the same period of time. They are a rich nation now. Please explain it. These are Progressive Socialist Programs. A lot of them. Now big companies have their pros and cons. When taxed we pay the extra costs don't we? I have no issue with rich individuals paying their fair share. But when the top tax was 39% before Trump, the Progs did nothing to make sure they paid that percentage. Remember!
