How Now, Moscow?Like it or not, these events should be viewed from a coldly nationalistic viewpoint. If it gives us a pretext for doing what we need to do (e.g., degrading Iran's influence in Syria), then I am all for it. But involving ourselves in a foreign ground war for other peoples' interests is a fruitless and expensive exercise.
The bottom line is that this latest chemical attack (if it proves to be legitimate) gives Trump an opportunity to do what is in our interests. Despite all the tweets and fake news, I expect that he will use that power to our benefit.
