Republicans Lose Impeachment Vote

Rep. Tom McClintock (RINO-CA) and Rep. Ken Buck (RINO-CO), Rep. Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin joined the Dem Party.
And they are now at the top of the MAGA cancel culture target list, right?

The Border Bill gives powers to the president that he does not have now to shut down the border. The fact is the expanded power of the president to shut down the border, plus the addition of more border agents and streamlined asylum process would have went an along way to alleviating this crisis. The reason MAGA oppose the bill is not because the Border Bill won’t work. It is just the opposite. MAGA s fear it will work.
He has power to enforce the laws now. These illegals are supposed to claim asylum in the first country - not pass through to get to America. Biden just needs to enforce that. Or, he can just reinstate Trump’s actions - the Emergency Act (can’t remember the number) and/or the Stay in Mexico policy.

We are in this mess because Biden undid Trump’s good work - and on his first day in office. Why was Biden in such a hurry to bring all these illegals in?

Staged vote by both parties to get the outcome it got with the least damage to the house... F them and the games they play... I for one am wise to their BS and am sick of it... Vote anti swamp... vote for Trump....

The vote is up for reconsideration. Steve Scalise couldn't be there because of his cancer treatment. Blake Moore changed his vote no when asked by leadership for procedural reasons to make a motion to reconsider so that they can vote on impeachment again next week.

I was kind of looking forward to them blaming Mayorkus for the failure at the border and him responding that the Republican House blocked legislation to protect it

He has been using that excuse.

Watch him testify and see how many times he keeps saying well that’s why we need the supplement. That’s what this bill was supplemental money to Ukraine supplemental money to illegal aliens and supplemental money to countries that send us illegal aliens. How that was supposed to enforce the border they didn’t really explain.

Biden got this rolling Day 1. And he and Mayorkas kept telling America the border had never been more secure.

Now, seeing the polling, all of a sudden there's a 'crisis' and Biden needs new laws when he won't enforce the one she already has.

Who should be impeached?

What a shame. Mayorkas is one anti American son of a cur.
‘“This baseless impeachment should never have moved forward; it faces bipartisan opposition and legal experts resoundingly say it is unconstitutional. If House Republicans are serious about border security, they should abandon these political games, and instead support the bipartisan national security agreement in the Senate to get DHS the enforcement resources we need,” Mia Ehrenberg, a DHS spokesperson, said in a statement.’ ibid

Baseless, partisan, meritless ‘impeachment.’

A House GOP effort to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas failed in an embarrassing fashion Tuesday as three Republicans joined Democrats in voting against what would have been the second-ever impeachment of a Cabinet official.

The 214-216 vote is a stunning loss for a GOP that has faced continual pressure from its right flank to impeach a Biden official, even as the party has waffled over which one to focus on.

The failure came about because of the surprise appearance in the chamber of Rep. Al Green (D-Texas), who showed up unexpected to vote against the bill.
GOP fails yet again.

There were no grounds for impeachment.
1. Open borders are a national security threat. He let about 30,000 Chinese and 30,000 Russians into the US. Mayorkas is a threat to national security.

2. He lied to congress many times.

3. Not doing the job you were appointed to do is grounds for impeachment. Letting 10,000,000 illegals into the US is grounds for impeachment.

High Crimes and Misdemeanors
You don’t get impeached because an opposition party doesn’t like your policies

No... but you can get impeached for Dereliction of Duty and Gross Negligence... such as that manifested by Mayorkas.

That smug, smirking open-borders POS needs to go.
