The right to keep and bear arms is right there in the Second Amendment, and many Americans see it as an important part of their freedom. They take it seriously because they want to protect themselves and stay on the safe side of their rights. To them, taking away their guns means stripping away their rights.

I'll give you the one reason why, now.

Without the 2nd amendment, there wouldnt be a bill of rights for the people, as proven over and over, where once a Constitution was there for the people, where the government eventually got rid of the protecting document and then subjugated the people to said government.

You do know that there was no arsenal involved in the Capital riot ? You should also be aware that the US military can not be used to enforce domestic policy. Any order to fire on US citizens would be an unlawful one and by the oath they have taken do not have to follow.

So that leaves the cops, various Federal employees and maybe the National Guard. You would be asking these men and women to shot and kill friends, family, and neighbors. You should also look up asymmetric warfare and educate yourself.

Before you go on what I'm sure will be a spit spewing rant about MAGA and Trump I don't even like the man, so........
