The same God who instituted the death penalty for murders is the same god who instituted the death penalty for rapists and for homosexuals, sodomites and queers!

That's what it was instituted for, okay? That's God, he hasn't changed. Oh, God doesn't feel that way in the New Testament ... God never "felt" anything about it, he commanded it and said they should be taken out and killed.

He's definitely UNBIBLICAL with that stance. If he's a preacher, he's in for some real hard discipline either while still alive here on earth or after death when he meets His Creator. It's also possible that this preacher isn't even a true Christian, but is self-deluded into thinking he is. God knows, and also the "fruit" that a person's life bears also can be reflective of their true spiritual condition.

It's preachers or folks who claim to be Christian and do or say things like this that give ammo to Christian haters, or folks who do live biblical, Holy Spirit filled lives, and exude the many attributes of God; I.E. Love, Faith, Long Suffering, Servanthood,.etc...

I'm also tired of the old "homophobic" moniker used so loosely anytime anyone doesn't approve of a lifestyle.

Biblical Christians know that homosexuality is a sin, just like adultery, lieing, .....any sin, as it affronts the God of the bible. Folks like to label these Christians as "haters"/"homophobes.

Little do these folks understand that it is the "sinful act" or "condition of sin" that the Christian abhors, but not the person involved or in bondage to it. Christ loved all of humanity, and believe me, there were plenty of sinners in His time that were in bondage to homosexuality, lieing, stealing, murder, and mayhem.......He did not at any time tell His followers to abhor or hate these people. He instead was saddened by the human state or condition, and gave His life to redeem it back from it's ill fate of self destruction.

I have met more than one person who was a Christian, yet suffered from homosexual temptation, and gradually came out of that bondage. Other's could not, and obediently to God refrained from being in areas of temptation that would trigger those homosexual temptations.

It isn't any different from addiction to pornography. Some Christians walk away from that addiction and never experience the "pull" of it again in their lives. Others need to just plain stay away from it. Why does God allow some to be "healed" internally and others must avoid contact or influence? I just don't know. All I know is that God know's me better than I know myself. Afterall, He knitted me in my mother's womb.
