NYPD turn their backs to Mayor DeBlasio during press conference

The fat man was selling loose fucking cigarettes. Against the law? Yeah. But worthy of an ARREST? No. Worthy, I guess, of maybe the issuance of a ticket (in NYC it's called a desk appearance ticket).

That's what this petty ass "offense" was worth.

But the police instead elected to make an arrest for some reason. And here's the sad part in this case. Folks don't have a legal right to resist even an unlawful arrest, much less a lawful arrest.

This is a clusterfuck of tragedy and poor choices. But it was not a choke hold that caused the poor guy's death. My hunch is that we can look more at fried foods and a lack of meaningful exercise.

What if, instead, it was old age. Say the guy was 81 years old and died because of the rigors of the arrest. There's all kinds of medical conditions that can put somebody on the precipice of death, some we control and others we can't. But we still blame the person who pushes them over. The man was killed over cigarettes. Instead of singing the praises of the arresting officers, we should be decrying a government so powerful that people are being killed over the sale of a legal product.

Sharpton has nothing to do with this story.

The fact that Right-Wing media has tried to make him the story only reassures me that I am correct.
Al Sharpton has inserted himself into every high profile incident that involves whites and blacks. You don't get to decide he's a non factor when he makes a personal mission out of anything having to do with race. But you go on with your bad self thinking you can determine what people do and do not discuss on these threads.
He tries to insert himself. But I haven't seen any situations where he has affected anything. He has no official duties or powers or anything other than his mouth. You are welcome to not listen to him.

Tell the Duke La Cross players how harmless he is. There's no such thing as harmless slander.
If he actually slandered them they can file suit against him.

Have they?

Sharpton even dared them too. You're defending a very evil man, you know.
Well, have they sued him or not?

NYPD has already come out and said that this is not an arrestable offense, it is a ticketed infraction, like you say, counselor.

It didn't look like much of a resistance to much of an attempt to arrest. It looked like Garner had his hands up trying to buy time to talk more about it, and the other cop jumped him from behind.

What do you NOT understand that the SUPERVISOR, at the scene, a BLACK FEMALE SGT ordered the arrest of Brown?...And why was SHE given IMMUNITY in front of the grand Jury? And did you know that the BLACK CHIEF OF PATROLL Phillip Banks ordered more enforcement of cigarette violations days before the Garner incident!

Go do some research as you seem to be clueless!

Nonsense.

No one is 'defending' Sharpton.

Exposing the conservative lie that the protesters are 'responsible' for anyone's death doesn't constitute 'defending' anyone.

Are you retarded? Why would they have to sue to prove their reputations were damaged? The way you think people can get screwed over and it's just fine with you I'd like to think that Karma has a real bitch heading your way. It's the way of the Universe. Wait for it....

Their understanding of the incident doesn't extend further than the short video online. I have a six year old with a longer attention span than most Leftists.

de Blasio is a "reputation" type not one to lead a force of good men and women. You need a leader who will step up to fix the problem so all citizens are safe. He has created a situation which he failed to enact correctly and now can't seem to summon the courage to correct it. Fire him immediately completely useless.

you can't fire him silly,

he was elected for a certain TERM.

What can be done is a recall, if they can get a certain percentage of citizenry to support it.

and perhaps, if he did anything illegal, he could be impeached by the Legislature, I believe?

those are the choices, but firing because some don't like him or even how he is running things, NO, No you can't do that to any elected official....

THAT'S what ELECTIONS are for.....

See, I personally do not think this police abuse, which is rare, only happens to black people...I have seen videos of policemen who have abused whites, blacks, browns, reds, yellows and blues if there is such a thing :) ....I don't think it is limited to just blacks, though I do believe that it occurs with black men more than any other color of men out there...and who knows, I could even be wrong on that.... and again, all of this is rare as far as how many abuse of power cops there are out there compared to ALL of the cops that are NOT!

But bad and ugly news is what makes the news, at least for the past 20 years and this is just a fact of life....(unless you watch your local news and live in a small town in the middle of nowhere land like me, then you can get lots of feel good stories on your news, including ones about your local cops and local firemen etc doing something really fantastic for the community)

I don't care that Eric Gardner was Black, I don't care that the officer lady was black, I don't care that some of the police involved were white....NONE of that matters to me.....what I care about is that a cop even tried to arrest a man for a basic citation crime of selling loose cigarettes on the street, and then used a neck hold on this citizen, that caused the death of this man...he may have had heart trouble, but the neck hold IS WHAT CAUSED HIS DEATH....period.

And there are other quite abusive videos out there of some bad cops, which to me, show this kind of power and abuse...and whenever I follow the story, the policeman involved gets off Scott free and a paid vacation prior to... When if ANY of us regular ole citizens did the crap I have seen them do, would be under lock and key with bars in front of us...

so to me, the system, is broken and we need to do something about it...maybe the rules need to change a little, like making it clear that if their suspect does not have a gun and is not trying to kill them with a knife or something, they should not KILL their suspects? Wound them if they have to, but if they are unarmed, don't shoot to KILL....maybe we need the police and prosecutors to stop covering up for their bad apples....and that last thing IS WHAT THE MAIN PROBLEM IS...I've seen one too many bad things happen to citizens by cops that were clearly undeserved, and I've only seen a handful....so even 1 would be too many, it just churns my stomach, even though rare....mainly because i have always looked up to them and I suppose any of these abuses still come as a shock....

And yes, I KNOW they have a very hard job...maybe not all of the cops are up for the job...

As riots and police attacks ratchet up, America needs a primer on who is behind all the violence and chaos.

ANSWER, is behind much of this. ANSWER stands for Act Now to Stop War and End Racism. One of the major “anti-war” fronts of the Stalinist Workers War Party from the early 1990’s through 2010, ANSWER International sponsored many large protests over US involvement in Iraq during both the Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom endeavors. Its leadership has consisted almost solely of WWP or Youth Against War and Fascism members. Since 2006, ANSWER has come under the influence of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, a split from the Workers World Party. In other words, communists. ANSWER shares the same physical address in New York as the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Though they claim to have formed in the aftermath of 9/11, this group’s core has been around a long time.

Honestly, who gives a darn about these protests?

Did the killer of the 2 cops say he listened to the protesters and this is why he killed the two cops, or he listened to Al Sharpton and this is why he killed the two cops...or the Mayor and this is why he killed those two cops?

The answer is:

NO.

He said that this was because of Mike Brown and Eric Gardner...

Neither of us ever participated in a protest or counter protest, but WE BOTH know a lot about these two incidences, and you and I did not get any of this information from the protesters
... now did we?

He got his info from the Streets, or the prisons or jails he was in....I'm CERTAIN he didn't love the cops before he even knew of a Mike Brown and an Eric Gardner...but those incidences perhaps pushed the evil loon over the edge, but I even doubt that....he was evil from the get go imo....YES, I said OPINION! ;)

And as far as the propaganda you have been fed on ANSWER, it's meaningless....they were a small part of the protesters and even if they were more involved in the organization of the protests, most of the people protesting were New Yorkers and local citizens that truly believe they have grievances with their government... sure ANSWER has their own motives and who really knows what the heck they are...that just takes away from why the civil unrest and protest is occurring in the first place.... and it is not necessarily that the police and the supposed Justice process are corrupt, but there is a perception that they could be...and THIS is what needs cleaning up...and I have no idea who the right person is to do this...except I do know that it ain't the UNION leaders, and it may not be deBasio either, but maybe it is the Police chief?

REMEMBER, just yesterday and earlier today, you were trying to blame Sharpton for the Dead cops chant and protesters, and NOW, you found out ANSWER was involved and you are trying to blame them....

YOU are being lead by your nose on trying to find blame, without even truly looking to the issue of alleged police and local prosecutor good ole boys club corruption, regardless how small it may be.

Another bit of information one finds hard to deny...but you might!... It seems some are finding connections between ALL SUBVERSIVE activities!

NY Cop Killer May Have Been Responding to ISIS Fatwa, More Attacks Expected

Threat Journal ^

Despite efforts by the mainstream media to paint the gunman as a disturbed individual deeply troubled by racial tensions and perceived heavy handedness of police towards the black population, investigations by independent media outlets also show cop killer Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley to be a Muslim, an Arabic speaker, and by his own words sympathetic to jihad. Much can be gleaned from his social media accounts (see this, this and this.) Brinsley was also known to visit the notorious Al-Farooq Mosque in Brooklyn, which itself has a 20+ year history of support for terrorism. This specific mosque played host to al...

Also this is very odd about Banks....NYC Police Chief Philip Banks III Abruptly Retires Before Taking Promotion

Perhaps something for you to ponder...perhaps not

INFILTRATED NATION Meet The Agitators Behind the New York Protests and Cop Killings

:D

Maybe he is, part of some Muslim Jihad conspiracy, but I do doubt it, as of right now...

Mainly because you would think he would have mentioned it...or mentioned it on social media or his ex girlfriend that he shot would have been asked about that etc etc etc....

NOTE! I have not read your link on this yet....and very GRATEFUL it is not a cartoon!

P.S.
You need to take up writing, and focus on WHO Done It/ Murder novels with a gazillion possibilities of: who's behind it....

just on this incident, you've shot out 3-4 possibilities of who the culprits are...!
