[Book of Jeremiah]

This is a study of Elijah's life and the call of God upon his life. It is also a study of the effects Baal worship has upon a people, a nation and the judgment of God it brings. A little over 50 years had passed by since Israel had enjoyed righteous leadership under the rule of King David and from that time less than a century later - we see the kingdom God established become over run with evil. It was a steady decline which resulted in the rule of Ahab and his wicked wife, Jezebel. When Ahab became king of Israel God said that he had done evil above all that were before him. (1 Kings 14:9) No ruler before him had ever had such an evil heart, had every ruled so wickedly as king Ahab did! He and his evil queen had brought Israel to the depths of sin through Baal worship and immersing the people in satanic sins. God had seen enough and now he was sending His prophet to confront the sin in the land, pronounce His judgment over the land and set His house (Israel) in order.

The story of Elijah is the story of good vs. evil, righteousness vs. wickedness, the servants of Baal vs the servants of God and the ultimate confrontation between the two which resulted in the servants of Baal being defeated and put to open shame. The victory of Elijah is a great lesson to the church of what to do and what not to do when our nation is ruled by the wicked and they are spreading themselves out like a bay tree.

We begin with rulers that preceded Ahab so that we may see the condition of Israel prior to Ahabs' ascension to the throne - ruling over the people of Israel.

For the sake of time (due to the length of this lesson from Scripture), I'm posting links for Scriptures used by KJV Bible Online. I will also be giving credit to the many authors who have written about Elijah (when I quote them). I want to share their observations here which I find to be very important and revealing when studying the life of Elijah. Other than King David - I do not believe I have examined anyone's life more closely than that of Elijah's (in the old Testament). There have been many books written about his life and his confrontation with Baal worship, Ahab and Jezebel. He is very important prophet of the Bible.

Abijam's Wicked Reign in Judah

(2 Chronicles 13:1-3)
1Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned Abijam over Judah. 2Three years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom. 3And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father. 4Nevertheless for David's sake did the LORD his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem: 5Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite. 6And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.

7Now the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.

8And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead.

In verse 4 we see the reason that the LORD granted this man his rule over Judah. God did it for "David's sake".

4Nevertheless for David's sake did the LORD his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem: 5Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

We also see that God sees David as having done right in His eyes (the only eyes that matter!) and not having turned aside from anything he commanded him all the days of his life except for the matter of Uriah the Hittite. King David was a man after God's own heart. God is remembering David even after his death in establishing the rulers over Israel.

Asa's Good Reign in Judah
1 Kings 15 KJV

(2 Chronicles 14:1-15)

9And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah. 10And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom. 11And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father. 12And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made. 13And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron. 14But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days. 15And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the LORD, silver, and gold, and vessels.

We see Asa doing what is right in the eyes of the LORD as David did. And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed the idols that his fathers had made. And he removed his own mother from being Queen because she had made an idol in a grove and he did destroy the idol and burned it which was the right thing to do before God. But the high places were not removed (they should have been) yet God says that Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days. To God be the glory!

Pay attention to this because America was once a nation dedicated to God by godly leaders even as Israel was dedicated to the LORD by her own godly leaders and today we see America over run with Baal worship and under oppressive laws - unrighteous judges rule for the wicked - we are a nation under the control of evil rulers. We will see how God has always used Israel as the standard - the example for all other nations to learn by - to understand His ways and how He sees sin! When we are a nation seeking after God and obeying Him? We are blessed and our enemies cannot conquer us - even as it was with Israel - and when we are a nation that has departed from God and is not obeying him? We are cursed and our enemies are ruling over us and there is much misery in the land...until finally God delivers His judgment.

This is where we see a turn such as we have seen in America - the ruler is now coming into a "league" an "agreement" with wicked nations (in this case Syria) which is going to result in what today would be known as "an iron curtain".......

War between Asa and Baasha

(2 Chronicles 16:1-6)

16And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days. 17And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. 18Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying, 19There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me. 20So Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of the hosts which he had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelbethmaachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali. 21And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah. 22Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha had builded; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

25And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years. 26And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin. 27And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.

28Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead. 29And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according unto the saying of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite: 30Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger.

And we note that this wicked ruler did cause Israel to sin and provoked God to wrath - which is something we are seeing take place right now in America - it's happening -as the altars of God Almighty are being profaned - the profane mixed with the holy - we see that God is being provoked to anger...

Baasha's Wicked Reign in Israel

Jehu's Prophecy against Baasha

1Then the word of the LORD came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,2Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;

3Behold, I will take away the posterity of Baasha, and the posterity of his house; and will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat. 4Him that dieth of Baasha in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth of his in the fields shall the fowls of the air eat.

5Now the rest of the acts of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

6So Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah: and Elah his son reigned in his stead. 7And also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the LORD against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of the LORD, in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he killed him.

So we see here that the judgment of God fell on the Baasha and his house because of the evil he had done in the sight of the LORD. This is evidence that God does judge wicked kings and their entire house - all that is with them - suffer the judgment of God for the work of their own hands. God is a just God and we can be comforted in knowing that He does judge the wicked - even wicked rulers. God is holy, righteous and just. Praise His Holy Name.

Fulfillment of Jehu's prophecy:

Elah Reigns in Israel

8In the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah began Elah the son of Baasha to reign over Israel in Tirzah, two years. 9And his servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him, as he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza steward of his house in Tirzah.

10And Zimri went in and smote him, and killed him, in the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his stead. 11And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne,that he slew all the house of Baasha: he left him not one that pisseth against a wall, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends.

12Thus did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake against Baasha by Jehu the prophet, 13For all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, by which they sinned, and by which they made Israel to sin, in provoking the LORD God of Israel to anger with their vanities. 14Now the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

And so we see here that all the house of Baasha is destroyed along with his son, all of his relatives AND All of his friends. No one escaped the Judgment of God. No one. (and no one ever will - God's judgment is as sure as the sun coming up in the morning and setting in the evening. God's judgment is sure. Be patient and wait for it for it shall surely come!)

And now Zimri dies!

Zimri Reigns in Israel

15In the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah did Zimri reign seven days in Tirzah. And the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.

16And the people that were encamped heard say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slain the king: wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.

17And Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.

18And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the palace of the king's house, and burnt the king's house over him with fire, and died,

19For his sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight of the LORD, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin.

20Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and his treason that he wrought, arethey not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

King David said in Psalm 17 that the wicked are God's sword. God uses the wicked to judge a nation but he will also destroy the wicked once He is finished using them for his purpose of judgment. God is just. To God be the glory!

Now we see the people divided - and Omri is said to have done worse than all before him. We're seeing a steady progression / descent into the worst sort of evil. Who is Omri? Ahab's father!

Omri Reigns in Israel

21Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri. 22But the people that followed Omri prevailed against the people that followed Tibni the son of Ginath: so Tibni died, and Omri reigned.

23In the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah began Omri to reign over Israel, twelve years: six years reigned he in Tirzah.

24And he bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver, and built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, owner of the hill, Samaria.

25But Omri wrought evil in the eyes of the LORD, and did worse than all that were before him.

26For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin, to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger with their vanities.

Ahab and Jezebel are now on the scene -

Ahab Reigns in Israel, Marries Jezebel

29And in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel: and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years. 30And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD above all that were before him.

31And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.

32And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.

33And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.

34In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun.

I'd like to quote Phillip Keller - author of the book - Elijah Prophet of Power - in his description of the state of Israel when Ahab and Jezebel were in power. His words are powerful and his description breathtaking!

Religious, moral and social rot were consuming Israel like gangrene in an injured limb. The entire body and life of God's own chosen nation were decaying and dying under the influence of inner moral corruption. To be clear - Jezebel was not a Jew. Her father was Ethebaal (note the name! Ethebaal Jezebel / Jezebaal was the daughter of a baal worshipper - this was her life - she was raised in it) Her father, Ethebaal was a king of the Zidonians and a priest of Ashteroth. Jezebel brought that baal worship with her to Ahab and his house and to all of Israel. This was the tipping point! (even as we are seeing the tipping point in our own nation today via Satanists petitioning to place a monument to Satan in a State's capitol - Oklahoma and now another State they have once again tried to establish an altar for Baal on the grounds of State Capitol!)

There is much to be said about the Jezebel spirit. Before moving forward we will address more about Jezebel and how her spirit is permeating the United States of America today in an unprecedented flood of wickedness.

The first thing that should be pointed out what that Jezebel was a witch. She was a practitioner of witchcraft and a worshipper of Baal. She was a servant of Satan. Jezebel was a cold blooded murderer. She sacrificed babies to Baal.

In the occult world Jezebel would be the considered the "patron saint" of Abortion, Homosexuality, Murder, destruction of the family and the emasculation of all male authority. She despises men and refuses to submit to any male authority.

Is it coincidental that pro Abortion groups are naming themselves after her? The spirit of Jezebel celebrates sin. The worse it is? The better. The mass murder of babies is the agenda of the Jezebel Spirit - Planned Parenthood - one of her children - she has many - keep reading.

What Jezebel Hates

Jezebel's worst enemies are the prophets; her worst fear is that the people will embrace repent-ance. Jezebel hates repentance. Though this spirit will infiltrate the church, masking its desire for control with true Christian doctrines, it will hide from true repentance.

Jezebel hates humility. Jesus taught that great-ness in the kingdom was not measured in what we seem to be, but in childlike honesty of heart. A true ministry is willing and eager to be submit-ted and account-able to other ministries. It is typical of those who are servant-minded. Therefore, we must learn that spirituality is mea-sured in meekness, not power.

Jezebel hates prayer. Intercessory prayer pries her fingers off the hearts and souls of men. It sets people free in the spirit. When you pray, it binds her. When you pray against immorality, it cripples her. When you pray for a submissive heart, it is like the trampling of Jehu's horse upon her body.

Jezebel hates the prophets, for the prophets speak out against her. The prophets are her worst enemies. When she wars, it is to stir people against the message of the prophet-ic church. More than she hates the prophets, she hates the word they speak. Her real enemy is the spoken Word of God.

Jezebel's ultimate hatred is against God Himself. She hates the grace God lavishes upon His bond-servants, even after they sin. She hates the fact that God will take the weakest and lowliest and use them to bring her down. She hates the holiness and purity of heart that comes from God and surrounds those who serve in His courts.

Remember that in America the Jezebel spirit will masquerade as a Christian - but she comes inside the church - among the people - to seduce and destroy whoever she can. She despises purity and holiness and those who preach it. She is a seductress who operates through witchcraft (control) she is an imposter and her goal is to destroy the work of God. Because ultimately? She is an enemy of God! She hates God and she hates his servants. It's her obsession.

So in this hour Israel had ignored all warnings from God. The temple prostitution of both men and women, the sexual licentiousness, unbridled greed, a rabid addiction to violence and a spirit of rebellion are permeated throughout the land of Israel. A perfect breeding ground for Jezebel and her husband Ahab.

Continuing to identify the Jezebel spirit - the Jezebel spirit is the spirit that rules Catholicism. She calls herself the Queen of heaven. She is the same spirit that operated in the original witch who called herself the Queen of heaven and later (Semiramis) and pretended to be Mary the mother of Jesus (but is not Mary). You will notice the Jezebel spirit rules powerfully in the Roman Catholic System. This is a prayer to break the strongholds of Jezebel which comes in through Roman Catholicism.

Heavenly Father, I renounce the false kingdom of Jezebel, the ‘queen of heaven’, and the ‘lady of the kingdoms’.

I choose to come into Godly obedience, submission and full surrender to the purposes and will of God.

I renounce and break every tie to the Jezebelic nature of not being able to cohabit through independence and rebellion.

I renounce all ungodly independence and come into total dependence upon the Lord, on His precious word and the still small voice of the Holy Spirit.

I repent of and renounce every obsession to rule and be in control, where this principality has been given rights by my forebears.

I cut the cord the woman-dominated rulership and government, and I renounce and break the curse of that in Jesus’ name.

I smash the Jezebelic religious government off my life.

I declare the word of God “the government shall be upon His shoulders.”

Father I release everything in my nature and my home to the true fire of the Holy Ghost, in Jesus’ name.

I renounce and break every effect of the suffering and sorrow of the stronghold of Jezebel, queen of heaven.

I renounce and break the self-idolatry, self-indulgence, self-promotion and exaltation and the self-pity of the Jezebel spirit.

I renounce and break every effect of the garments and royal robes of this harlot principality.

With prophetic action I take off the garments of the harlot of purple and scarlet. I remove those garments and declare I am clothed with the garments of righteousness. I take off the harlot’s jewels and break their every effect in Jesus’ name.

I renounce and break every effect of the sword of Jezebel. Where I have used that sword Lord, either in your house, against your people, in my family or in business I repent and ask your forgiveness.

Where I have come under that sword, I break it off my life and destroy it in Jesus’ name.

Where that sword has brought death and bleeding to my emotional life, I ask for and receive your healing touch in Jesus’ name.

I renounce and break off my life every ruling stronghold of abortion that has come down from my forebears in Jesus’ name.

I renounce every fear and terror of abortion that has found entrance through the womb. I ask for the healing touch of the Holy Spirit.

I renounce and break the Jezebelic sword of division. I break it off my life, the life of my family and the life of my church in Jesus’ name.

I renounce and break every tie through seduction and sexual sin in my family line to this ‘mother of harlots’.

I renounce and break every curse of fornication, prostitution, perversion and occult sex off my life in Jesus’ mighty name. Father God cleanse me from all the abominations of this stronghold in the precious Blood of the Lamb, the Lord Jesus Christ.

I renounce and break off my body every generational curse of cancer that has come with adultery.

I renounce and break every curse of the loss of children, be it emotional or physical. I declare my inheritance which is to have children and to enjoy fellowship with them.

I renounce and break every curse of being a widow, husbandless, even within marriage, and without headship to protect and guard my spiritual and emotional life.

I renounce the stronghold of deception that comes with the kingdom of Jezebel, queen of heaven.

I pull down all blindness to this stronghold and remove the blindfold of Jezebel.

I renounce and break every effect of the cord to religious deception that has come with divination from my forebears.

I renounce and break everything of divination, extra sensory perception (ESP), clairvoyance, spiritualism, deja-vu, and all occult power that I or my forebears have been involved in.

I renounce and break the false anointing and falsehood that comes with divination.

I renounce and break every effect of the ‘doctrine of Jezebel’ including those false doctrines I have been unaware of.

Father God, open my eyes to the doctrines of Jezebel that I may see and discern them.

How To Handle A Jezebel Spirit
Without question, the nastiest, evil, most disgusting, cunning, and seductive spirit in Satan’s hierarchy has to be what many call the Jezebel spirit.

This evil spirit has been responsible for not only tearing down churches, pastors, and different Christian ministries, but it has also been responsible for breaking up many marriages, friendships, companies, along with getting many people to commit cold-blooded murders and suicides.

For those of you who have been hit and slimed by this evil spirit, or have encountered it in some way, you will know exactly what I am going to talk about in this article. It is without question, one of the most evil and vile things I have ever come across in my life. Like Satan, this type of spirit is simply pure evil.

Over the last 20 years or so, I have encountered this spirit myself at least 5 different times, with it being attached to a specific person each time I had encountered it. As a result of meeting this spirit head on a good five times, I have developed quite a bit of information and knowledge on how this spirit works and operates.

I believe the Lord allowed me to have access to these 5 people when I did so I could end up writing an article like this one so I could teach people how to spot one if they ever had one come into their midst, whether it be at home within their family, in the middle of a church or ministry, or even at their place of work.

What is a Jezebel Spirit?
What is the Jezebel spirit? The Jezebel spirit is not just one spirit like Satan is.

This is a “type” of evil spirit in Satan’s kingdom. There is only one devil, one Satan, but there are many spirits that would be considered a Jezebel type spirit, as they all have a particular type of personality and a specific way in which they like to operate.

The reason many deliverance ministers have used the term, “Jezebel spirit,” is because of the nature of its personality and the way it operates once it sets up shop within someone.

The word “Jezebel” is coming from the OT story of Queen Jezebel back in the days of Elijah. She was a ruling queen back at that time and she had cold-bloodedly killed many of God’s prophets back at the time she was ruling.

I have had four close encounters / battles with Jezebel spirits in the past. - 1 was a co - worker at a job - 1 was a family member - 1 was an extended family member I met later in life - and the latest one was a woman I encountered on a message board who I observed for about 2 years before praying against the spirit in her and destroying her grip over an entire board! This woman literally tried to usurp the administrators authority and then tried to take members with her by claiming she was "speaking up for what was right". The truth is she was a practicing witch, she was openly seducing other men on that board while never hiding the fact that she was married, she used flattery, lies, deceit and seduction to bring people to her side and did her best to turn the people against anyone she didn't like including the owners / admin of that board. In the end she was kicked off the board and lost control over it. To God be the glory. The truth is on the internet? You do not know who you are encountering unless the Holy Spirit shows you but there is one way you can know you are dealing with a bonafied Jezebel spirit - by their fruits! There is nothing on earth as wicked as a Jezebel spirit. If there is a hotter place in hell? Jezebel (who threatened Elijah) was sent there but until the end comes? That spirit that drove Jezebel - that of witchcraft continues to be a plague upon those who are unaware of what they are dealing with. Pure evil.

In tonight’s study I will share a story told by the author.

Nelson took another sip of coffee and continued to watch the attractive young woman. She was tastefully dressed in a dark suit and had the look of optimism – a confident handshake and direct eye contact, while soulfully engaging people in conversation. With her penetrating charisma, the woman was vivacious and enthusiastic. She had the ability to draw people to her. She was fun to be with and seemed to be a devoted student of the Bible.

Nelsons church was beginning to shrink Individuals that he had earmarked for leadership had left. To fill their void, Nelson needed to find new leaders. Each month his desperation increased, as the money from tithes and offerings continued to shrink.

During their times together, the woman suggested her theories on how to increase church membership. A savvy businesswoman, she created a blueprint to steer the church towards a position of dominance. Over the ensuing months, she became more entrenched in the church and began to lead a women’s Bible study group.

At that same time, Nelson was puzzled by the woman’s beliefs. She seemed to be in touch with the spirit, however it seemed to be a “dark spirit.” This spirit had told her to do unusual things, some of which had previously resulted in immorality. Despite this, Nelson and his wife loved being around this woman. Seeing her potential they met with the woman and attempted to mentor her.

As they placed their hopes in her, young women in the church began to rally around this woman. While her influence grew, Nelsons diminished like a slow leaking tire. Each month, the church continued to shrink in members. Then, Nelson’s wife began to suffer various illnesses, and his mind became filled with sexual fantasies. To make matters worse, his once amiable church staff became divisive and their vibrant small-groups program began to dwindle.

One day, Nelson called and asked for help. As I began to seek God, a dream came, allowing me to see through the enemy’s smoke screen. I relayed what God had shown me, which he affirmed to be accurate. But Nelson and his wife still continued to give this woman responsibility, leadership, and authority within the church. They admitted that she might occasionally receive counsel from a “spirit guide.” Nonetheless, they loved this woman and wanted to help her. What where they to do?

An Unholy Alliance

What I have just described is called an unholy alliance – a relationship that eventually leads to catastrophe, even though you are aware that the person continues to willingly sin. Furthermore, it is evident from Scripture that God dose not condone such a person being given a leadership roll in the church. Nelson and his wife justified their decision not to remove this woman from leadership “for the sake of the Kingdom.” Therefore, the Kingdom was compromised by the unholy arrangement, and their church suffered.

This happens over and over again in churches across America. This is a word for any Pastor in a similar situation. Use your authority and remove that Jezebel spirit from your church. If you do not use your authority someone will take it from you and use it against you. You cannot afford to sit idly by and permit someone to take control over your own church! The spirit of Jezebel uses a spirit of intimidation to keep others from confronting her. Still - it is important to overcome the spirit of intimidation and do what needs to be done. There is a reward for those who overcome the spirit of Jezebel. Look it up.
