Not a fan of Ted Cruz in the least but I do not think this is true.
They guy is mostly a liar:
Ted Cruz's file | PolitiFact Texas
So let's try to stick with what he actually says.

those are some petty accusations....Ted Cruz is NOT 'mostly a liar'...
take for example the supposed 'lie' where Cruz says "President Obama just granted all of Congress an exception" to Obamacare.
technically yes they will have to buy from the Obamacare marketplaces so there is no 'exception' there....technically.....but Cruz was looking at the bigger picture...
don't you remember the howling from the congresscritters who threatened to leave their jobs over having to buy Obamacare.....? Congress was fearing a 'brain drain' from so many employees leaving because they would lose their taxpayer-funded federal health-insurance subsidies of $5,000 to $11,000....but Obama solved the problem...
"Democratic and Republican staffers alike were furious, warning that Congress faced a “brain drain” if the provision stuck. Under behind-the-scenes pressure from members of Congress in both parties, President Obama used the quiet of the August recess to personally order the Office of Personnel Management, which supervises federal employment issues, to interpret the law so as to retain the generous congressional benefits."
any company can grant such benefits for healthcare but unlike the Federal Government not that many can afford the higher Obamacare costs.....so the costs must go to the employees....the 'little people' are going to have to shoulder the costly burden of Obamacare....while the high-income congresscritters get theirs on the cheap...
this 'exception' or fix by Obama for the Hill employees is what Ted Cruz was referring to....
Congress?s Exemption from Obamacare | National Review Online!
Cruz will not be re-elected if he continues in this fashion.
Steph would defend the devil if he were TPM.

Unless, of course, they uphold a point you agree with. In that case, they are a great source.
Sad.
even if the story is true, what is the big deal about what he said? what he said is true.
liberals on this board are idiots. see JakeStarkey for examples.
According to some reports, Cruz said on Hannity yesterday...
If the slaves were never freed in the Civil War, you have to wonder, where would Obama be today? Certainly not in the White House, not in the capacity he is in. And you have some in America that think that might not be a bad thing.
Did he really say this. I thought there was an unwritten rule in the GOP to never say what you are thinking if the public may see it.
I am still looking for a link.
