It's called single payer and what you will not pay in premiums to insurance companies you will pay (+/- a few %) in increased taxes so Feds can pay for it.

Actually, single payer is way cheaper. It eliminates the 20% administration and profits that insurance companies syphon off the top. It eliminates the preapprovals and administration costs hospitals and doctors pay to satisfy insurance company requirements. It eliminates 3rd Party billing companies for doctors.
