Abortion funding Mitt Romney, spin this right wing.

First, the morning after pill IS NOT an abortion.

Google it yourself. Christian Life Resources

Second, I am as pro-life as they come, and no fan of Romney's...and I do not oppose the morning after pill.

I oppose cutting a living baby, with a heartbeat and brain activity, limb from limb from the womb.

It only takes a few hours after sex for a women to actually BE pregnant. Conception begins when two things happen. The sperm joins the egg and the now fertilized egg attaches to the wall of the uterus. Not all fertilized eggs attach. Some think of it as "nature's own little abortion", flushing away a fertilized egg.

The morning after pill is called "morning after" for a reason. It acts exactly like a birth control pill only "possibly" after conception. The woman takes the pill as a safety precaution because she may or may not be pregnant. We will never know. To say it doesn't actually cause an abortion, considering when you take it, is believing what the manufacturer says without actually "thinking". Something Republicans do a lot.

Do Republicans think birth control pills put up a little "barrier" inside a women? Do they understand how they work? I'm curious.

rdean you would love Romney if he had a D instead of an R for a party wouldn't you?

I think this whole thread is NOT about Romney accepting money from "abortionists" (which it's not)...but they're (Rdean!) just butt-hurt that there are people out there that would pay $50,000 for dinner with Romney....Obama can't get anyone to pay him that much! Lol!!! :)

They're just trying to deflect. Considering how many women take the morning after pill and comparing that to the number of abortions in clinics across the US, you can bet the pill ends many, many more pregnancies than all the clinics put together.

These right wingers will believe what they are told. Romney is being backed by the biggest abortionist probably in American history. If their leaders, without a shred of science tells them it won't cause abortions, no matter how that flies in the face of common sense and reason, they will believe what they are told. That's what the right does. Normal people don't believe in "trickle down" and "education is for snobs" and "let him die". You have to be completely indoctrinated. They are even willing to police women's vaginas. How sick is that?

No I wouldn't. I voted for Bush Sr. He was smart. But Reagan and Bush Jr.?

I still can't get over the video of Bush on the news standing with some amputees from Iraq and saying he likes to go bike riding with these guys because he can win. They are amputees because of him. And Bush making jokes about the WMD's. And Reagan? Don't get me started. How you can support fools is your decision. But don't put lipstick on a pig and then try to sell it to me. I'm not buying.

Right sure you did and sure you would.

Let's get this straight. Romney is Mormon, not hard Christian right. Of course he will take the money, because Mormonism is not opposed to abortion ipso facto: there are gray areas that require nuance. Romney gets this.

Of course he will take the money.

Actually, the Christian Right looks relatively sane compared to the Mormons.

But the point is, Romney was for Abortion before he was against it but now he's for it again. Or something.

I'm glad you can keep all the lies straight, Jake, but I'm not sure why you are supporting a guy who is lying to you.

You have been the one lying on the thread from Day One with your flip flopping from candidate This to Candidate That trying to influence the nomination, helplessly.

Romney's word is a paragon of virtue to compared to yours.

Well, let's see if Obama refuses to take money from anyone who disagrees with him on anything.

Mormonism is most assuradley against abortion.

So it's ok now?

Wait until the right hears they cant whine Bill Maher a comedian giving money when the right said I'll raise you one megabortionist

but but But Bill Maher!!!

You think we care that Bill Maher gives to Obama? Why is it so difficult for you on the left to comprehend that we point to Bill Maher, not because we have a problem with him giving to Obama, but to point out your double standard?

What double standard would that be? Where has the left complained about a comedians comments?

You freak out when Romney has donors you dont like and think we should too. Why? it's your standard. Then you think we are hypocrites when we point out that your standard is inconsistant. It's really not that difficult to understand the argument. The only reason I can see that you wouldnt is that you dont want to face the truth of who you are and fix your problem.

I'm not freaking out because I support a womans right to choose. I'm wondering why YOU are defending Romney taking money from someone that you disagree with and supports abortion when abortion is a serious issue to the right.

But now I see it's ok....See, you dont really care about Abortion. You just like to bitch about it like Romney. Remember how the right were calling for Obama to give back the money or he was a hypocrit? We're not playing that game anymore?

Obama Administration Keeps Limit on Teva Morning-After Pill - Bloomberg

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (TEVA) failed to win U.S. clearance for the first over-the-counter emergency contraceptive after an Obama Cabinet member overruled the head of the Food and Drug Administration on the issue.
Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius ordered Margaret Hamburg, the FDA chief, to reject the application by Petach Tikva, Israel-based Teva, citing potential sales to girls under age 17. Hamburg, in a statement, said she was ready to approve over-the-counter sales based on “well- supported” and “science-based evidence.” The FDA said it’s the first time the HHS has reversed one of its decisions.

Don't you get it? Obama stopped children from getting Abortion pills. The manufacturer of the pills is holding a dinner for Mitt Romney for $50,000.00 a plate.

It can't be denied - ROMNEY IS TAKING MONEY FROM ABORTIONISTS!!!!!!!

Not just an abortionist, but one who wants to make abortion available to children.

Willard is in DEEP MITT now.

If the claim is true democrats should be leaving the socialist Hussein administration in droves and moving over to a reasonable moderate candidate so what's the problem?

The far right is not moderate or mainstream: a buncha fruitcakes.

If the claim is true democrats should be leaving the socialist Hussein administration in droves and moving over to a reasonable moderate candidate so what's the problem?

What democrats do not understand is now someone could live by their own principles and yet still respect the rights of others to live by their principles.

That's the part they don't get because they believe only in group think where everyone is the same.

Wouldnt Romney retuning the money show that he backs up his words and stands for what he believes? Thats what they said about Obama...I guess the rules have changed....Just now

Wise words for the far right to follow also.

Let me make sure I understand this. Republicans, who are 90% white and intolerant of everyone "different" feels it's the Democrats who want everyone to be the same?

Did I get that right?

Thats the shit they are selling. Dont confuse them tho, they believe that there is no room for moderates in the Repub party while maintaining that Dems want everyone in lock step.

Cognitive dissonance is off the chain

We don't need group think in the dems or the pubs, but both suffer from groups dominated by it.

Is the morning after pill the only thing TEVA sells? Of course not, they are a drug company. How many drug companies have something similar and should they all be banned from donating to either party? Has Obama vetted all his contributors? I keep hearing he'll have a billion in campaign funds, so I doubt he cares where the money comes from. I don't think most politicians do, but as long as it's legal, they'll take it.
