Mitt Romney targets $8m on multi-city Florida fundraising swing. | Naked Politics

Those who want more access will have to drop $50,000 per person Wednesday for lunch at the Avila Golf & Country Club home of developer Dick and Cornelia Corbett in Tampa. Romney finishes the night at the Star Island manse of pharmaceutical magnate Phil and Pat Frost where dinner costs $50,000. In between, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. there’s a fundraiser at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables.

On Thursday, Romney begins the day at a to-be-determined fundraiser in Jacksonville from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. There’s a $50,000 lunch scheduled but no venue yet. From there, he heads to the Woodfield Country Club home of Marc J. Leder of Sun Capital Partners in Boca Raton. Dinner: $50,000.

Obama Administration Keeps Limit on Teva Morning-After Pill - Bloomberg

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (TEVA) failed to win U.S. clearance for the first over-the-counter emergency contraceptive after an Obama Cabinet member overruled the head of the Food and Drug Administration on the issue.
Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius ordered Margaret Hamburg, the FDA chief, to reject the application by Petach Tikva, Israel-based Teva, citing potential sales to girls under age 17. Hamburg, in a statement, said she was ready to approve over-the-counter sales based on “well- supported” and “science-based evidence.” The FDA said it’s the first time the HHS has reversed one of its decisions.

OMG, this is proof that cons will vote for anyone with a R after his name.

There is no doubt about it. Phill Frost sells what Romney calls "abortion in a pill".

Frost is behind more abortions than have ever been preformed at any clinic.

Let's get this shit straight. When Republicans are for abortion liberals are knot? does we got that Wright?

Let's get this shit straight. When Republicans are for abortion liberals are knot? does we got that Wright?

No Democrat is "FOR" abortion. Democrats are for "women's rights". The woman should decide. It's her body. Government should stay out of it. It's Republicans that want to police a woman's vagina, NOT Democrats.

Romney isn't just taking money from abortionists, but abortionists who want to give abortions to girls under 17. Obama stopped them.

Let's get this straight. Romney is Mormon, not hard Christian right. Of course he will take the money, because Mormonism is not opposed to abortion ipso facto: there are gray areas that require nuance. Romney gets this.

Of course he will take the money.

The official statement from the Mormon church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) regarding abortion is as follows: "In today's society, abortion has become a common practice, defended by deceptive arguments. Latter-day prophets have denounced abortion, referring to the Lord's declaration, "Thou shalt not . . . kill, nor do anything like unto it" (D&C 59:6). Their counsel on the matter is clear: Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must not submit to, perform, encourage, pay for, or arrange for an abortion. Church members who encourage an abortion in any way may be subject to Church discipline.

Church leaders have said that some exceptional circumstances may justify an abortion, such as when pregnancy is the result of incest or rape, when the life or health of the mother is judged by competent medical authority to be in serious jeopardy, or when the fetus is known by competent medical authority to have severe defects that will not allow the baby to survive beyond birth. But even these circumstances do not automatically justify an abortion. Those who face such circumstances should consider abortion only after consulting with their local Church leaders and receiving a confirmation through earnest prayer.

When a child is conceived out of wedlock, the best option is for the mother and father of the child to marry and work toward establishing an eternal family relationship. If a successful marriage is unlikely, they should place the child for adoption, preferably through LDS Family Services"

Abortion a view from the Mormons

Thanks, rdean: as I said, nuanced _"Church leaders have said that some exceptional circumstances may justify an abortion, such as when pregnancy is the result of incest or rape, when the life or health of the mother is judged by competent medical authority to be in serious jeopardy, or when the fetus is known by competent medical authority to have severe defects that will not allow the baby to survive beyond birth. This is generally what 60% of American generally believe.

So if a woman wants to choose the morning after pill, it was Obama that stopped that choice not Romney.

Yep, it was Obama who said children could not have it over the counter.

Got a problem?

Define "woman". 9 and older?

Rderp there is no need for me to spin anything. Beside all the lies you spin would make it impossible for me to keep up.

I should neg you just for showing your ugly mug but I won't.

You have no idea how hard Mitt is going to lose do you? Obama will spend tens of millions on just letting people just how alike he and Mitt are for the soul purpose as to make voters on the right not care to show up and vote...

It's gonna sting the Republicans in that ass voting for a full blown liberal for the second GE in a row.

This Republican primary was all about “is anyone conservative?” Well, sadly you guys gopt one of the biggest progressives in US history, the guy that brought the nation Romney care on everyone’s dime but his states. The guy that supported Obama’s stimulus and HC program before he was against it. I am honestly looking forward to Obama gleefully endorsing Mitt’s record unlike the republicans in the primaries who all (all but Paul) were busy running from their very liberal records.

At some point you are going to need to deal with the fact that Mitt is very Progressive. You can make it all about "Anyone But Obama" but the only people that would have ever cared for that are people who would have voted Republican no matter who won. Mitt will in fact be turning off a big part of his base, calling everything lies or spin will not help his cause.

No, Republicans are simply saying you're not going to kill the unborn simply because you can't police your own vagina.

Take care of yours Deannie...please.

The thought of you having a kid is....well, just scary.

Well, let's see if Obama refuses to take money from anyone who disagrees with him on anything.

Mormonism is most assuradley against abortion.
