In many of the Christian churches of the day, it is believed that God the Father does not have a body but is only a spirit being. If this were true, then why was it necessary that Jesus Christ rise from the dead and take on and immortal body of flesh and bones? Why is it necessary that all mankind will be resurrected to have an immortal body throughout all eternity?

Luke 24:36-43
36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And he took it, and did eat before them.

Revelation 1:18
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

1 Corinthians 15:53-54
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Why is resurrection so important if God the Father does not have an immortal body as well? Why would Jesus need a resurrected body if perfection is found in God the Father who is a spirit? Why would we all need to resurrect to have an immortal body of flesh and bones? Maybe God the Father himself has an immortal body of flesh and bones as well. We all have a spirit and can say that we are a spirit. But we also have a body. I believe this is the case also with God the Father. After Jesus was resurrected and ascended to heaven to sit on the right hand side of the Father, Paul tells us the following:

Hebrews 1:1-3
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

If Jesus, as an immortal resurrected being with flesh and bones, is the express image of the person of the Father, then wouldn't this imply that the Father too has an immortal body of flesh and bones just as Jesus has? Resurrection seems to be a part of the progression of all to be more perfect like our Lord and Savior and our Father in Heaven. If God the Father does not have an immortal body of flesh and bones, why then was it necessary for the Christ to resurrect and for all mankind to resurrect?

The fact that he was resurrected, yet he also simultaneously vanished from the face of the Earth, has always been a hard sell for me. The mere fact that anyone would crucify a person claiming to be the son of god, who happens to be able to walk on water, cure the blind, heal the sick, make water from wine, etc, is also a hard sell. Ancient superstitious people werent the types to disregard obvious magic. They were freaked out by a red moon for crying out loud, let alone some dude who can walk on fucking water. If he says he is the son of god, those motherfuckers would take him seriously. No one is killing that dude.

Then he comes back to life, a first time event in human history, but no other stories are told about him AFTER this miracle event? He would be a rockstar at that point and more popular than ever, yet we hear nothing more about him?

It just doesnt jive with me. Jesus may have been a real person, but the information we have been told about him does not sound accurate in the slightest. There are some major holes in that story that no one ever seems interested in addressing. Religious people think im a dick for even mentioning it. :dunno:

There are many examples in the Bible of interactions with Jesus after the Resurrection.

Yeah, but not really though. His story ends on that cross. Im unaware of him even speaking after he came back to life. :dunno:

I dont find that false claim to be a compelling argument. :dunno:
No one said it was a claim. It's biblical fact that there were interactions with Jesus Christ after his resurrection all through the New Testament. Who says you are the god of all knowledge when you can't even find that in a small book of the New Testament.

Why are all of those quotes from people talking ABOUT Jesus? Where are the new stories of the adventures of Jesus? I would imagine that a million people would follow him everywhere he went if he came back to life. He would be a living god. Where are the stories from Jesus' perspective using his own words of wisdom AFTER he died? Who were his kids? What did he do in his 40s? What did he do in his 50s?

You said there were "plenty of stories of Jesus after death". Plenty of stories would include details for all of my questions above, otherwise it isnt "plenty". Like I said, I dont find your false claim to be a compelling argument.

In John 1 we read that Jesus was with God in the beginning and was also God.

John 1:1-3, 14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

So, if Jesus is God, then we can say that God is a man with a body of flesh and bones which is immortal. According to Genesis we are all created in the very image and likeness of God.

Genesis 1:26-27
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

It is interesting that it says, "Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness". Apparently God the Father and Jesus are of the same image and likeness as each other and man and woman were also created after this same likeness and image. Wouldn't you think that the resurrected Jesus is still in the image of his Father and that just maybe the Father too has an immortal body of flesh and bones. Why else would resurrection be so important?

There are many verses of Jesus' own words after the Resurrection. He stayed on earth 40 days before ascending into Heaven.

Quit gaslighting me. The bible is a black hole as far as Jesus is concerned after he died. No more stories about healing the sick, no more pearls of wisdom or moral lessons for mankind. NOTHING!

Never happened. Your holy myth book is a lie.

So he was alive for 40 days, but he hid the entire time? Him coming back to life would be the biggest event on Earth if he showed his face. Those 40 days would be WILD. People would stop working and just follow him. It would literally be a million man march everywhere he went. It would be the most written about thing from that time period and very well documented.

We dont hear about any event like that in history though,

For people to learn, they have to want to learn. I'm not seeing that in your comments. Do you want an answer and willing to learn something? If not, just a waste of time. But, as for a couple of things you asked. Most of Israel and Rome did not follow Jesus Christ. In fact, some of what he was saying was actually against Roman Law as well as Jewish Law interpreted by the Sadducees and Pharisees. Rome did not want to crucify him. It was the religious leaders who riled up the people before the Sabbath Day. Jesus was chosen by the people to be crucified instead of a robber. Rome gave this opportunity once a year. The Romans got involved because he was claiming to be above Cesar.

The other thing you don't get nor want to get, just like the Jews in his day, they were looking for a Messiah that would come and conquer the Romans. But, that wasn't the reason for Jesus to be on the earth at that time. He came to bring his new covenants and teach the true Gospel his Gospel to the people that would hear him. He came to establish his Church and to bring the new ordinances to the people for not only salvation, but for Eternal Life too. And, he came to atone for our sins if we accept him as our Savior. And, to open up the resurrection for all by dying and being resurrected as part of the atonement.

God's ways are not man's. What you or I think God "should do" is irrelevant.

I do not give a flying fuck through a rolling fucking donut if you disagree with me or not. There is NO Magical, Mystical, Mythical Sky Man and his Bastard Son never existed.

The deification of Yeshua did NOT occur until 100 - 150 years after his execution by Rome.

The non-existent Sky Man let his non-existent son be raised by another man, the Sky Man was dead beat dad who give shit about his so-called "Son" for years. Fuck your non-existent Sky Man and fuck his non-existent son. Your myth book is lie, live with it.

I know you said that. But, that's a different topic other than the ones you questioned. I just answered some of those for you. You want this one answered too? Okay, there were apostles up until 100AD. Then, because of wicked bishops and priests, the Lord closed the heavens to the people because the people closed their hearts and minds as you have. Paul spoke of a great apostasy that would happen after his death. And, it did. The world ended up in darkness. We call it the Dark Ages. Until 1820, when an honest young man of 14 years asked God with real intent, faith not wavering and without a double mind (James 3:5-9) asked God in prayer questions. The heavens opened to him and he saw the Father and the Son with real tangible bodies. This boy was called a Prophet. The Prophet Joseph Smith.

Now, you will most likely laugh and ridicule. It's in your nature. But, so did the people of Joseph Smith's time. They ridiculed him, laughed at him, tarred and feathered him, and eventually killed him. It's true about Prophets from the Old Testament, New Testament and in our last days, a prophet (or Christ) is stoned in their days as they speak. No different today. We have a Prophet today as well. You will find so-called Christians and Jews laugh at the idea. To me, that's just one more testimony that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and so have all the rest since his day up to the present day of Russel M. Nelson.

You really think we are going to listen to a filthy vile person try to tell us what we don't know?

Yep, there are 18 million members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who follow prophets of God who came back in 1820 and other times after that.
