I don't know but I lean towards they are eternal properties of time and space. Was there a creator? I don't know, no evidence either way, so I consider myself an agnostic on the origin of the universe. If there was a creator, is it the God of the bible? Is the mind necessary for math to exist? ... I believe 2 plus 2 equaled 4 when dinosaurs roamed the Earth ... it took humans to develop accounting to change that ... why the Bible was written to warn us about the money-changers ... bankers have always been evil ...

Out of Control. But that should be obvious to any Non-Banker. Example--- The Recession of 2008 was caused by a Gov't backed program. ie--Substandard lending practices. My bank did not engage in that, Therefore ,we made a PROFIT while all the other big banks needed a bailout.

Natural numbers have structure. Lots of it. The structure exists with or without a universe.

Er ... don't we need a unique additive identity? ... that's not a casual mistake ... it demonstrates a lack of understanding of basic mathematics ... my claim is there's "three" sheep in the pasture whether there's humans there to count or not ... how are you accounting for velocity, torque or stress with the natural numbers? ... do you not know we can add integers, rational numbers, complex numbers ... ha ha ... there's more to addition than counting on your fingers ... ...

The natural numbers are missing lots of structure as well ... they don't form a vector space as indicated above ... at best you have closure, but without both identities, you don't have a vector space ... sad but true ... I'm beginning to wonder if you even know how to evaluate indefinite integrals ... or map between system sets of partial differential equations and the stress tensor ...

No ... including zero gives us the set of whole numbers ... and that is a vector space ... you omitted zero in your first post because you don't understand mathematics, or the foundations we base all mathematical thought on ...
