Bingo TheProgressivePatriotIt is not compassion to deny another person's identityYou're on the wrong side of this issue dude, admit it and quit it. You have NOTHING to back up what you are claiming besides feelings.Reproduction is not a measure of ones gender or worth as a human being. You bigots used the same argument in denigrating gays by saying that they do not reproduce. Your bigoted bullshit is old and well worn
It's not compassionate to lie to someone.
Happens all the time:
Blacks who support Trump and vote and voice Conservative support get denied.
Prolife or Pro Israel Democrats have to fight
their own Party or they remain silenced.
Exgays, LGBT for gun rights, and conservative gays opposing forcing same sex marriages into govt, these identities and voices are invalid and "non persona".
(Not literally, but in essence nonpersons. Like Biden telling Black people they aren't really Black if they don't vote for him. By law we cannot abuse Govt to FORCE someone to have "compassion" for others, but when it comes to establishing, prohibiting, regulating or penalizing "on the basis of CREED" then THAT level of "discrimination by CREED" becomes a denial or deprivation of equal CIVIL and or Constitutional Rights and Protections. Compassion cannot be regulated by Govt, but Constitutional and Civil Rights deprivation, denial and discrimination by CREED can be policed. More readily if we unite on this angle, which I argue should be the direction of the LGBT movement so it includes and protects ALL political creeds, sexual beliefs and identities/orientation as part of each person's spiritual beliefs and process which govt cannot regulate, establish or prohibit but can only defend free exercise and expression from penalty.)
Now we see Conservative Asians, who support Trump and protest Chinese takeover, censored and cancelled in the media while the ONLY narrative and identities that count are the ones "blaming Trump" for "inciting racism against ALL Asians" by blaming the CHINESE GOVT for mishandling and covering up the virus.
Maybe TheProgressivePatriot
People are just opposed to the Transgender getting protections for internal beliefs and identity that nobody else is getting.
However, if we all claimed and agreed to enforce this protection for EVERYONE'S beliefs, identity, affiliation and opinions,
whether or not it matched or conflicted with prevailing social norms,
Perhaps more people would SUPPORT what you are asking.
And what I would clarify as equal protection against discrimination by CREED, including political beliefs equally as religious beliefs,
and spiritual and sexual beliefs.
If we categorize the identity issues to be universal enough to protect all people equally, not just one sided beliefs while penalizing other sides, then this would be more Constitutionally inclusive and have greater chance of gaining fuller public support
