as a former letter carrier i will say that the spray many times does not stop big dogs,it just pisses them off.....so a bear will no doubt stop and laugh....

I camped and hikes in grizzly country out West a few times.

I just made a lot of noise, keep the food sealed, and carried a .44 Mag and a short pump Remington .12 gauge with slugs.

I think bears can sense shit like that.

I never saw one close up.

Same here. I could shoot a deer, I love venison, but I don't know what people do with bears besides stuffing them or mounting their heads on a wall.

Pepper spray helps the bear poop smell spicy.
