In a Republic, actually
“Americans awoke this morning in a new country. While we slept, Donald Trump launched a full-scale war to overthrow the regime in Iran and to disarm that nation. But it is our nation, our Constitution he has overthrown.
[…]
This morning, America is no longer a democratic republic governed by the rule of law. It is a tyranny governed by a man. Everyone will cheer the end of the horrid reign of mullahs in Tehran. But everyone should weep at the fall of our great constitutional order.

Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution says Congress shall have the power to declare war. In common understanding it means a president cannot initiative a war. When George Bush took us into Iraq, he got an authorization to use military force (AUMF) from Congress. In fact, Congress passed three open ended authorizations, in 1991, in 2001, and in 2002.”

Trump’s supporters and defenders are likewise enemies of the Constitution and the rule of law.

The illegal, un-Constitutional attack on Iran was completely unwarranted as Iran posed no threat to the United States, Trump lied about Iran ‘soon’ having missiles capable of striking the United States – another Republican president has again lied America into yet another illegal war.

Trump used the military to hit Iran.

That's it so far.

Let me know if we invade.

Oh bugger off.
Bugger off yourself. We have law concerning what the executive branch can and cannot do without the consent of Congress for good reason. However horrible the mullahs are, that is not reason to abandon the rule of law in our nation.

So what you are saying is that if some nation hit some of our military bases in the US, that would not be reason to declare war on them? That doing so is not in itself a declaration of war on the US? Trump failed to follow the rule of law on this attack on Iran. A well deserved attack, but that does not change the fact he ignored laws put in place for very good reasons.

Did you whine when Ears bombed the shit out of nations?
President Obama primarily bombed militant terrorists, with the exception of Libya.

Trump is bombing a nation that has allies already sending war materials to it. And he did so without consulting Congress as the law requires. The people that they are taking out deserve to be taken out, but what are the consequences going to be for that region, and for us? And maybe Trump's next target will not be someone that needs to be removed, say like Greenland.

Nice"with exception of Libya " LoL

If he launched a full scale war, we'd already be discussing making them the 51st state.

I know you won't read this because you always abandon your threads.

But up yours. :fu: :fu: :fu: :fu: :fu: :fu: :fu: :fu:

Maybe it is busy or whatever. I am not like IM2. I am not a professional shitposter. I have my say and let it brew to see what develops. I don't have time to bullshit online. At least it participates. If no one participates; you won't have a forum.

Evil Khamenei was, evil our child raping President and his Epstein class are. His goons have already executed two of our citizens in our streets without accountability. The DHS now gets more funds than the Marines. We have some major problems at home before trying to solve other people's problems. Will we take out the Shahed facilities, or would that offend Putin too much?
