Iran has been at war with the US and Israel in the Middle East since the inception of their revolution as they have engaged in terrorism against them every day since their revolution.“Donald Trump says he’s bombing Iran to prevent the regime from obtaining a nuclear weapon. But he may be providing Tehran with more incentive to sprint toward developing a nuclear bomb, which is now easier for Iran to make—thanks to Trump.
After Trump, during his first White House stint, ripped up the Iran nuclear deal that President Barack Obama and other world leaders had negotiated with Tehran in 2015, Iran responded by enriching its uranium to a much higher level than it had been doing under the agreement.

And international nuclear inspectors—who were able to keep track of Iran’s uranium stockpile before Trump bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities in June—aren’t sure where this uranium is now.
In short, with his war in Iran, Trump has created a big, possibly catastrophic problem: A half-ton of highly enriched uranium, which can be made bomb-ready, is somewhere…out there—available for use by Iran’s new regime or perhaps not fully secured and susceptible to theft or expropriation.”

This illegal, unwarranted war was an effort to deflect from Epstein, a failing economy, and likely Democratic control of Congress.
It comes as no surprise that Iran will likely benefit from Trump’s incompetence.
Trying to treat a terrorist organization as legitimate is a huge mistake. The same can be said for their proxy Hamas as they only have one interest and goal, and that is for the destruction of Israel and the US at any cost.
This was never going to turn out well, so the only question is, will Trump try to finish them off somehow? He at least wins a cookie for properly equating a regime that began it's existence by taking over a US embassy, which is against International law.
It is a regime that began its existence as being illegitimate.

Perhaps you on the right should address what the hell this war is for. What are the goals? And who assessed what Iran's response would be? While we are flattening much of what is Iran, Iran is doing to the world economy what Russia's invasion of Ukraine has done to it's economy. Why was not this foreseen?

Do you know anything about the history of Iran? Do you realize we earned their enmity by destroying a democratically elected government long ago, and installing the Shah? If you look at the history of the Mid-East, you realize they have reason to hate the West. Of course, that hate only makes it harder for their people in the present, but it is still there and has a valid source.
Trump is using Clinton’s old playbook as an excuse for regime change. Clinton bombed former Yugoslavia because it was the last remnant of the Soviet align communist bloc. Iran is the holdout in the region with the same regime dating back more than 50 years.
Iran’s economy is in the toilet now. One surgical strike on its pipeline is will decimate the country’s oil export and crash their economy hard. I wouldn’t be surprised that China held a conference call with them or already sent their goons to Iran asking Iran to let the tankers through the strait.

The USA is the ONLY country in NATO to request assistance under Article 5 - when they invaded Afghanistan and Iraq post 911. And NATO sent their soldiers in response, so you're lying when you said no one would come to help you.
But Trump's war is illegal and NOBODY will come to help you. Iran hasn't attacked the USA, and your Congress has not authorized this war. No, we're not going to help you with WWIII because you were not attacked, nor are you justified in attacking Iran.

That's not true, they - NATO - bombed Serbia because they refused to sign the Rambouillet agreement, go and read that.
As do al the other gulf states, they are all dictatorships and less democratic than Iran, so no, there are many "hold outs".
Yes, the people have been suffering under sanctions for years.
Iran could and still might, bomb desalination plants at which point there will be a massive human catastrophe as millions of refugees flood the west because there's no water for the Gulf populations. Iran is prepared to escalate to avoid being destroyed, it gets bombed daily.
If its prepared to escalate to that extent why keep pushing it? Why not stop bombing them and let talks begin?
