Trump's New Nuclear Nightmare in Iran - "This may be the worst planned war in history."

“Donald Trump says he’s bombing Iran to prevent the regime from obtaining a nuclear weapon. But he may be providing Tehran with more incentive to sprint toward developing a nuclear bomb, which is now easier for Iran to make—thanks to Trump.

After Trump, during his first White House stint, ripped up the Iran nuclear deal that President Barack Obama and other world leaders had negotiated with Tehran in 2015, Iran responded by enriching its uranium to a much higher level than it had been doing under the agreement.

Because of that move, it now possesses an estimated 970 pounds of highly enriched uranium that’s a lot closer to the level of refinement needed for bomb-grade material. And international nuclear inspectors—who were able to keep track of Iran’s uranium stockpile before Trump bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities in June—aren’t sure where this uranium is now.

In short, with his war in Iran, Trump has created a big, possibly catastrophic problem: A half-ton of highly enriched uranium, which can be made bomb-ready, is somewhere…out there—available for use by Iran’s new regime or perhaps not fully secured and susceptible to theft or expropriation.”

‘Worst planned’ – it wasn’t even planned at all.

This illegal, unwarranted war was an effort to deflect from Epstein, a failing economy, and likely Democratic control of Congress.

It comes as no surprise that Iran will likely benefit from Trump’s incompetence.
Desperation has sunken to a new low, do they stamp STUPID across your forehead or brand it on your ass, just curious….

The article's main point is that the uranium is in the wind and "bomb ready" which it actually is:

<~~~~~~~~~~>

A radioactive bomb, often referred to as a "dirty bomb," combines conventional explosives with radioactive material, while a nuclear bomb creates a massive explosion through nuclear reactions. The primary goal of a dirty bomb is to spread radioactive contamination and instill fear, rather than to cause widespread destruction like a nuclear bomb.
While both types of bombs involve radioactive materials, their effects and purposes are significantly different. A nuclear bomb is designed for mass destruction, while a radioactive bomb aims to create panic and contamination without the same level of explosive force. Understanding these distinctions is crucial for assessing risks and responses in scenarios involving such devices.
  • Nuclear Bomb: A weapon that releases energy through nuclear reactions, either fission (splitting atomic nuclei) or fusion (combining atomic nuclei). The explosion is immensely powerful, capable of causing widespread destruction and radiation over large areas.
  • Radioactive Bomb (Dirty Bomb): A type of radiological dispersal device (RDD) that combines conventional explosives with radioactive materials. Its primary purpose is to spread radioactive contamination rather than to create a massive explosion.

Will leftists settle this once and for all?

Did Iran have the capability to produce a nuke?

I'm not left or right. But from what I gather, Iran was capable but chose not too. They enriched material for negotiation use. Unfortunately for the Iranians, Trump don't give a shit about enriched unless it goes boom!

If that’s the case, the deal was just window dressing and Iran received a pallet of cash from Obama.

Well.... how many wars are we considering here?

Think about wars at the pre-dawn of history where people may have just got drunk and gone off to start a war for no reason....

It's rather a large topic to be certain.
I have not seen the Operations Order, but Figure it was pretty light on coordinating instructions annex, judging by US commands in theater of operation, were not informed, so TOCs were not on the move (and actually had not been for months if not a year), facilitating the easy targeting of the Support Command Toc, costing the lives of 6 Officers and Enlisted. Affected allies in theater were also not notified, even though we had armed them with anti-aircraft/anti-rocket defense systems. So, by lack of coordination, friendly countries took out 3, F-15 Eagles ($27.9 to $29.9 million each in fiscal1998 dollars breakingdefense.com globalaircraft.org) each. This operation, appears to be shot from the hip, rather than in depth planned.

Yes, if like the old days, you speak of, it was definitely planned better that attacks planned by the drunks of old. At least the new drunk, does have better planners, if allowed to properly plan and disseminate the plan, rather than somebody at the top, grunting for premature ejaculation.

Iran was enriching uranium under the agreement?

The agreement allowed that?

It appears the flock is being told things are going just fine.
The are being told that, but I am not impressed with what I have seen. I will be even less impressed, when we put boots on the ground, in this pre-emptive war of choice.

There were veterans during the Korean War who were pissed as they were in WW 2. Viet Nam was a second warning on foreign entanglements the founding fathers told us about. Two wars from an agreement (SEATO) between our nation and nations in Southeast Asia. Of course, none would come here to help us. And NATO will not either. Look at the trepidation in this incursion. Iran attacked NATO nations. The almighty Section 5.
Trump and Israel decided to go in alone, as he and Bibi Netanyahu are both stupid.

Despite Misgivings, U.K. and France Deploy Ships and Planes to Mideast

The two nations, as well as Greece, said they would send assets to the region. The Netherlands was weighing a request to join them.
Britain and France, neither of which is part of the assault on Iran that began on Saturday, announced they would use their navies and air forces to help blunt Iran’s retaliatory strikes. Greece also sent planes and warships to its neighbor, Cyprus.

It's difficult for me to believe that he would do that, but I still manage to overestimate him at times.

If he does, only the most feral of his base (well-represented on this board) will back it.

China and Russia are behind these efforts. One reason I was against Israel assassinating scientists in Iran, which they did years ago, is that first, they are employed by the state that forces them to work for them, second, if you do so the regime will just seek out big brothers to support and protect them, a schoolyard bodyguard of sorts, in this case China in particular. There will be major problems if the U.S and Israel cannot inject free elections and replace the oppressors...they could sprint to a nuke and China may assist them. Are we even sure the Ayatollahs son is really alive?

You're basing your ill thought out thread on the premise Iran was nicely nice and not creating a programme under Obama. Those who think terrorists are gonna follow a treaty on paperwork, are so naive and credulous. Then they're stupid enough to go on to hate their own president.

Mostly, it would seem, they're there to protect their own stuff, not to protect America or Israel's stuff.

Perhaps you on the right should address what the hell this war is for. What are the goals? And who assessed what Iran's response would be? While we are flattening much of what is Iran, Iran is doing to the world economy what Russia's invasion of Ukraine has done to it's economy. Why was not this foreseen?

I believe that it all is the same "Mantra" that the Guillible, "Party Upholding", Obedient Sheeple, embrace, whenever the "Great Leader" calls for his followers to march, & make War.

The Unjustified, Undeclared, & Greatly Failed, Viet Nam War is a classic example of this, where a great division amongst "We the People" is successfully created, that results in "Big Brother" gaining even more power over the "People", & out in the World.

That "Power" on America's part, has now weakened, since 9-11, due to many Nations now attempting to align their selves with the BRICS Nations.

It all is leading to a "New World Order" that even POTUS Bush Sr. invoked before Congress, but,..... America, will not, for many, many reasons be the "Leader" of that "New World Order". It's not only "Orwellian" in nature, but,.... If One Truly looks at all of the Data,.... It's also "Biblical".

Strangely,... When one considers how The "Founding Fathers" of America, & many that came after them, had such a Deep Faith in The Almighty LORD GOD, .... That America, during these Chaotic Times, is not experiencing a National Revival.

Have We fully turned away from being a "God Fearing Nation", and are now "Reaping the Fruit"?

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm, this is why we need regime change and to not let up until there is regime change. Because, you're right, if we do this now and then don't finish the job and then, god forbid, a democrat comes to power, they wouldn't have the balls to bomb again and would make yet another stupid agreement like Obama did.

No.

Iran will benefit from Trump's actions. The good people there will.
Immensely.

No war has been declared. This military action could be unpopular, it is not illegal. It is within the War Powers Act
The country doing the attacking says, "Well, according to our law, our attack on your country is legal". You don't find anything wrong with this picture?
