Zone1 Where does atheist morality come from?

Based on how much you fail to recognize, I say the failure is in your own recognition of God.
I was a believer and a firm one. Whenever someone says that the usual responses from Christians are typical and not worth posting. Saying I do not recognize "god" is like someone a Muslim saying to you that you do not recognize Allah or the prophet Mohammed and will lose out on being with him when you die and that you are an infidel but Allah still loves you no matter what.

Your beliefs about what atheists think and believe are way off the mark. You want to shoehorn your god concept into atheism. I/we say that we have not seen sufficient evidence for any of the thousands of god concepts imagined and postulated over the centuries and I have told you before an example of what I would accept as evidence.
That's not what I have done at all. I'm showing you that whether one is an atheist or not everyone has an expectation for fairness. It's universal. And with respect to atheism, it's counter to their belief that all there is is the satisfaction of material needs and primitive impulses. Why should you care about being fair as long as you are satisfying your material needs and primitive impulses? Why should you care about being seen as good or moral? Why not say, "**** your invisible code of good and evil?" And the answer is... you can't. It's been hardwired into you.

Since we do not rely on stories of ancient nomads or current pastors and priests for how to live we are not bound by your dogma and superstitions. Since we see no evidence of any gods, especially the preposterous Bible god we do not blame what we see no evidence of for unfairness. We see a world and universe that operates just as it would without any Bible god to blame that fabricated entity for unfairness would be like blaming Poseidon.
Neither do I. Natural Law is hardwired into everyone. Everyone knows right from wrong. Especially when they have been wronged. Your problem is that you lack objectivity. Your biases are preventing you from seeing reality. Which I am perfectly fine with as it only affects you and those close to you.

Not saying that at all.

Unlike you, I listen to what people of the Muslim say about Allah, just as I listen to what Hindu's say about their Gods. Unlike you, I do not bad-mouth any of them. I listen to what Jews, specifically those who speak Hebrew, have to say about God and the passages you are so fond of bashing. Religious/faith beliefs are holy ground.

You say you were a firm believer, but I'm not buying it. Gossiping about God and the Catholic faith is all I am seeing from you, a continual "Ain't it Awful" dialogue.

Tell us what you believe God did to you. What did the Catholic faith specifically do to you?

The reason is that humans want to exist in general harmony and cooperation and if everyone was off stealing and killing humans would have become extinct. As you said, god or no god humans are fair because they know that is what they want from others.

I have no clue what you are saying.

Duly noted that you refuse to respond that Muslims use the same fear tactics as you do. The ole punishment and reward training tactics used on dogs and children.

Yawn. I don't use fear tactics, and neither do those of the Islam faith that I know. Or of the Jewish faith. Or the Hindu faith. Who scared you so badly that has convinced you everyone is out to scare you?

The cult of Catholicism is not a who.

Ah. All you have is quibbling. Not surprising.

Because you tried to use the puerile tactic of “who hurt you? Why are you angry? How may I help. Find god”

Get over yourself and stop thinking you know what I'm "really" asking. You not only have not gotten anything right yet, you haven't a clue. First, I didn't ask who hurt you, but who/what scared you, and I asked that because you keep on and on about scare tactics. Second, I didn't know you were angry, so it didn't occur to me to ask why about that. Third, I can't help you--and have no interest in that rabbit hole, anyway.
I still recommend you seek and find God. And, I'm still interested (vaguely) that what scared you so badly that you are warning others people are trying to scare them, too. No one ever tried to scare me.

Why would you assume anyone scared me?

I've never once considered extinction of the human race in any of my decisions and I doubt you have either. Your last sentence proves my point about atheists, you think the reason to be fair is to get what you want from others (i.e. satisfying your material needs and primitive impulses).

I didn't assume it. You proclaimed it--again and again I'll remind you--by saying it is a tactic religion uses.
When I was young I was very scared of hell. You make it seem like I am scared now. That was a long time ago. When Christians can't sell the canard that god loves them and wants a relationship with their mind, they trot out the consequences for not believing their story. This is what I mean by peddling the emotion of fear. You know and knew what it is I mean. I don't appreciate you trying to twist it when you know w=damned well what I am referring to, Your tactic is a diversion allowing you to claim that Catholics don't peddle fear.
