Actually, what was strange was that you guys passed over about 10 guys who would have made perfectly good Conservative Presidents and probably would have been a lot more effective. Jeb Bush, Christie, Kasich, Cruz, Rubio. They'd have advocated 90% of the same policies without the crazy tweets, the childish insults or the gross incompetence.

You mean he pandered to the worst instincts instead of having honest conversations on how to improve our situation. Take Manufacturing. Now anyone who has worked in manufacturing can tell you that the biggest reason why we lost jobs in that sector is not because of outsourcing or the evil Chinese, it was because of automation and process improvement. We are producing more manufactured goods than we ever have in our history. But we are doing it with far less people, and most Americans really don't aspire to work in a factory to start with.

But that's too complicated. Much easier to just lie to coal workers and tell them their jobs are coming back, rather than levelling with them like Hillary did that coal is in decline and most of the extraction of it has been automated.

Most police officers are good people (even Biden has said this), but they need to do something about the bad apples who engage in bad behavior. And, yes, America is systematically racist. Has been since the very beginning when they decided that blacks were 3/5th of a white person.

However, even though Trump lost, he continued to be top of mind to Democrats and to leftists around the country and here on USMB. It is almost as if the Democratic Party needs their villain to hide the problems they themselves have. So Trump continues to trigger leftists even though he is no longer President and has been banned from Twitter. So at what point does the Democratic Party move on from Trump?

When the cocksucker is in prison, where he belongs. We need his businesses broken up and run out of business, we need to make an example of him so the next billionaire asshole who thinks, "I've got more money than God, I need to run for president even though I don't know anything about politics" thinks twice about it.

Um, not really. Hey, check this out. Here's the Running RCP Average of polling of Biden vs. Trump. Biden was always averaging between 48-53% of the electorate, Trump was always averaging between 42 and 46. The end result was 51-47.

If anything, Biden had MORE of a lead in the polls before Covid hit, when he was in a dogfight with five other Democrats over who would be the best guy to go up against him.
