A statistical anomaly due to the lopsided birth rates. The boomers are aging into the age where diabetes usually hit people and they make up a larger share of the population so it will skew the percentages higher.

It's that cohort that's overwhelming the healthcare system and supporting it at the same time. They have most of the country's assets and the medical industry needs them to stay in business.

The first domino to fall for me was taking up smoking at 15. I was continually sick until I quit at age 30. If I had continued smoking more health dominoes might have fallen, possibly leading to medical bankruptcy.

Where does health factor into the discussion.

The ads on TV are insurance and pharmaceutical company's. Pharmaceutical Industry are the biggest lobbyist in DC , paying over twice the money than number two DONATES. The insurance companies don't have just one spoke person they have a whole cast of barkers. Until these crooks are taken care of there will be no cures for anything because there is no profit in cures. Anyone who has file a claim against an insurance company 90% of the time you are canceled after you use it. When auto coverage became mandatory every option on your coverage more $$$.
Government passed laws to allow these companies to charge what they want. Laws use to protect citizens from damage anything under 5 mph in all new cars. What happened to that law? Now a 5 mph bump you are going to have both bumpers ripped off the car and have it totaled, plastic clips that what holds cars together. Even if you never have a wreak the bumpers will still fall off after four or five years. Home coverage, yea right. You'll be lucky to get the walls up with nothing for your belongings. We are paying throw the nose so these companies who pay these politicians more than they are worth. For a Congressman to take thousands of dollars from this group of crooks it's not illegal, it's the norm. They say Social Security is going broke. My private, tax free, retirement, saving account, no one can touch and will be there whenever I need it. is going broke?
Republicans are at fault, My Ass! You democrats sure are some stupid sons of a bitches. Republicans want to steel SS, isn't that the line your crooked cons as Sheff, Pelosi, Schumer, and all the rest say since you abused your oath and passed that unlawful violation of the Constitution.
Carter, a democrat started giving it away to immigrants that never paid a dime into it. A democrat congress voted to start 'borrowing it' and every dime they 'borrowed'. It was a democrat congress that voted to tax it with Algor cast the deciding vote. Obama used SS to build upped middle-class houses for Middle East Immigrants, including double garage so their Beamers didn't have to park on the street. This is just another dirty lie that the democrat voter will believe. Let us hope one day one or two might get their head out of that place lacking oxygen, light, and basic common sense. They will say "What the Hell was wrong with me? I must make this right and take my own life with mass quantities of Peruvian marching powder. You are not only living in a fantasy but doing it on others labor. Get a job. If you have to buy a clue, it will be worth it.
