James Talarico last week asked 4 simple questions to answer about what Jesus would do that are thought provoking. What are your thoughts on these answers?

  1. What would Jesus do about a tax system that favors the rich over the poor?
  2. What would Jesus do about a Healthcare system that forces the sick to start gofundme pages?
  3. What would Jesus do about an Education system that tied a community’s education to it property wealth?
  4. What would Jesus do about an Economic system that prioritizes profits over the health of our planet?
I don’t think he would approve of the GOP plan on any of those. What about you?

We have a separation of church and state in this country, theocrat.

OK OP, prove Jesus even existed.

I'll wait right here.
Well, then this thread isnt for you. No one can prove God exists or that Jesus was who he said he was. You either like the story and buy in, or you dont. I have no ill will to those who dont.

The State isn't Jesus or God, Corky.

I like stories as much as the next guy but I don't use a story to base my day to day living on nor judge others by some story.

If you want to do do stories, I'm more of a Old Testament type of guy.

Who said it was? Jesus wasn't a money changer either but he turned over their tables and claimed they were a "den of robbers".
Your premise presumes that The State should do the bidding of Jesus, as a twisted sort of proxy.

In just a few months, you'll be shitting chickens because of manger scene erected in front of city hall.

The money changers bit is an irrelevant deflection, something at which you excel.

Here is what Jesus would do: Remove government from all these programs and encourage individuals to volunteer their own time and resources to personally help others. That is the Christian way, and it would WORK. But no leftwing politician would ever dream of surrendering their power and the big pot of money they control.

This is why Jesus was a conservative.

No. My premise is that if you are a follower of Jesus you would attempt to follow his teachings and examples to the best of your fallible ability. What would he say about those specific issues?

James Talarico may be one of those watered down Christians who think Jesus has returned as promised and His name was Karl Marx

A more progressive tax structure isn’t Marxism. It is Biblically aligned though.

Jesus would send you to Hell for projecting falsehoods and gas-lighting.

Your premise is that The State should be doing the works of Jesus for the people, instead of the faithful doing those works out of the kindness of their hearts.

The underlying motivation is to try to browbeat people into succumbing to The State by using their faith -which you really know fuckall about to begin with- as a cudgel to submit to your preferred Marxist politics.

It would really help if you didn't pretend you were breaking some new ground, with this seriously stale and banal trope.
