Overcompensation in virtually every conversation, on virtually every issue.

I think this country should focus more on helping its citizens gain easier access to healthcare and higher education. A healthy and learned America is a strong America, and we need to be strong if we're going to keep up with China. I support capitalism. I'm not a socialist, but I do think we should let Europe defend itself so we can focus more funds on things I think are good for our country, like healthcare and education.

What I think is immoral is having an education system where poor kids are forced to attend inferior inner city schools that are primarily made up of minorities and have no hope of obtaining an education to escape their segregated imposed poverty.

Having school choice is the key to overcoming this, which conservatives support.

Democrats control teachers unions who are now pushing CRT and gender studies which have led to a 4000% increase in gender confusion and makes children either hate themselves or feel like a victim because of the color of their skin. Meanwhile, in math and science democrat public schools trail close to 40th in the world.

So yea, government DOES need to get more involved to stop this.

As for health care, I see nothing wrong in helping those in need obtain health care, but I do see something wrong in screwing with everyone else.

This reminds me of a public school in Ohio where a girl was raped in study hall. When the parent found out about it he ran to the school demanding answers, and the first thing out of the schools mouth was not to alert the media and that they would handle everything. Then I will never forget the response of the teacher who was suppose to supervise the children in study hall. She said it was not her job to teach the children morality.

And that is why we are at where we are at.

I think universal healthcare and more public tuition assistance are inevitabilities. I see conservatives as largely just being in the way of progress when it comes to those things. It always turns into a disagreement about morality. I think conservatives will eventually lose that fight.

Do that, and I'll dump the idiot Dems in a heartbeat and seriously consider voting Republican again, once the GOP becomes Grand (and sane) again...

They can get private care and do get private care.

I had a grandpa who used his VA for simply stuff to save money, but things that were more complicated he went to a private physician for better care and was willing to pay out of pocket for that better care.

At least, he had the option, an option they want to take away.

Maybe it should be like that for everybody. If you can't afford or don't want to afford some expensive private care then maybe there should be a public option. Of course private care is going to be better. It always is, even in Europe. That doesn't mean that public care wouldn't be useful to a lot of people even though private care tends to be better. There should be a public option. It would be good for the country. It would lead to a lot more preventative care.
