This was some time in the 1700's. Sweden did trade in slaves but actually owning slaves themselves was a very minuscule number and never here on Swedish soil. Your statement of "millions" is a joke ... but maybe that is what you meant it to be?

Correct. But let us mention something that is important for people to understand. The U.S. kept untold numbers of slaves. You can give us a figure on that? In the U.S. you can be criticized for not working despite there not being any job for you. You might be given welfare but it isn't enough to survive. You might even find work that pays minimum wage which isn't enough to surivive either. This doesn't happen in socialism where you are required to work and recieve a fair wage.

I am 72 years old and I have been to most inhabited places on this earth. My "upbringing" was so long ago that I have to look at old photographs just to remind myself that I ever had one. My view is based upon personal experience of seeing all possibilities and living several of them.
