What are Putin's Options for Revenge that he has promised?

Long story short, alang1216 , any article, based on the assumption "Russuians are brainwashed goons, lead by irrational dictator" will be labeled by me (or any other Russian) as "racist, stupid and obviously false" and, of course, dissmissed.
Any article based in the assumption "Russians are intelligent creatures, who do what should be done" will be labeled as "justification of the Russian aggression" and "Russian propaganda", and dissmissed by the Western academical society.

He was officially pardoned by the President of the Russian Federation. If you give an order to kill a man who was officially pardoned by you - your own subordinates will be much lesser motivated to work with you in future. That's why they don't do it without really significant reasons.
Or you try to do it so no one knows it was you. We call it plausible deniability.

Does Russia have freedom of speech?

AI Overview

While the Russian constitution technically guarantees freedom of speech, in practice, Russia severely restricts this right. The government exerts significant control over media, and laws are often used to prosecute individuals for expressing views critical of the government, the military, or government policies.

Here's a breakdown:
  • Constitutional Guarantee:
The Russian constitution does include a provision for freedom of speech.

  • Restrictions and Censorship:
However, this guarantee is not as strong as in some other countries. The government has broad powers to restrict speech, particularly online, under the guise of combating extremism or protecting state interests.

  • Control of Media:
The Russian government owns or controls a significant portion of the media, especially television, which is a primary source of information for many citizens. This control allows the government to shape public opinion and limit dissenting voices.
  • Criminalization of Dissent:
Recent laws have criminalized the dissemination of "false information" about the military and public actions discrediting the armed forces. This creates a chilling effect, discouraging open criticism of the government and its actions.

  • "Foreign Agent" Laws:
Restrictions on individuals and organizations designated as "foreign agents" have also increased, including bans on promoting or advertising on platforms belonging to "foreign agents".

  • Crackdowns on Civil Society:
Human rights organizations and independent media outlets have faced increased pressure, with many being closed down or blocked.

  • International Assessments:
Organizations like Freedom House consistently rate Russia as "Not Free" in their assessments of political rights and civil liberties.

Or you try to do it so no one knows it was you. We call it plausible deniability.
Putin is not a magician. He can't kill people by a curse or something. He have to order other people to kill. The very same people who's loyalty this killing will definitely decrease. He gave an order and a lot of people will know. And instead of increasing moral level (and there are a lot of targets in Britain, who's elimination might increase it) you have it decreased for no practical reason.

Does Russia have freedom of speech?
Yes, of course. And it's not just about relatively low external limitations. It's more about intellectual freedom, which, say, many people in West just doesn't possess.

This control is even more elusive than in the USA. No society can survive without criticism. You can't solve a problem, without recognition of its existence. And if you criticism is constructive, not destructive, your intentions are good and you know what are you talking about - you can say whatever you wants. Read, say, popular Russian military blogger fighter-bomber. Some half of his posts are critical about "Laos Army", but he suggests ways to make things better (by gathering money from his subscribers and buying useful equipment for the aviation). Just don't say that you criticise Russia. Talk about Mordor, Imperium of Humankind, whatever else.

Personal freedom of speech in Russia is much wider than in the USA.

  • Control of Media:
The Russian government owns or controls a significant portion of the media, especially television, which is a primary source of information for many citizens. This control allows the government to shape public opinion and limit dissenting voices.
American media are mostly controlled by the pretty little group of oligarchs, and Russia, say, have a lot of partly independent networks of bloggers and writers. What is even more important - Russians can read English and discuss with Americans and Americans (absolute majority of them) can't neither read Russian, nor discuss with Russians.

  • Criminalization of Dissent:
Recent laws have criminalized the dissemination of "false information" about the military and public actions discrediting the armed forces. This creates a chilling effect, discouraging open criticism of the government and its actions.
As I said - it all about your intentions.

  • "Foreign Agent" Laws:
Restrictions on individuals and organizations designated as "foreign agents" have also increased, including bans on promoting or advertising on platforms belonging to "foreign agents".
Actually, all those laws were copy-pasted from American ones.

  • Crackdowns on Civil Society:
Human rights organizations and independent media outlets have faced increased pressure, with many being closed down or blocked.
If they are independent - its ok. If they are sponsored by the enemies - they may have problems (as well as in the USA).

  • International Assessments:
Organizations like Freedom House consistently rate Russia as "Not Free" in their assessments of political rights and civil liberties.
Just f#ck them. They are all payed liars.

Long story short, alang1216 , USMB is banned by Russian government and it takes for me only VPN to overcome it and have a nice chat with you (because Russia payed for my English trainings in school and in the Army). Aftershock.news isn't banned by US government, but you can't chat there because you don't speak Russian. Our government build walls (not much of them, actually), and you government just chop off legs of their citizens. Can a legless cripple be free to walk?

The results are the same, military people do what they are told to do.

Most of the West has zero trust in what Putin says so the worry of a nuclear war is not seen as real over here.

I have no reason to believe the attacks are anything but Ukraine striking military targets.

Considering how poorly Russia has done against tiny Ukraine, it would be stupid to take on a superpower when there is no existential threat to Russia.

There is no stomach here to fight Russia, it is Russia that chooses to fight.

There is no NATO threat, certainly no short-term one. Without Putin's need to save face there is no need to push any button.

Who's running the economy now? A former KGB agent?
And a former CIA director was the Father of the New World Order globalist mafia which came to power after the Soviet Union lost control of it's puppet states. That same New World Order has been endorsed by every U.S. president since then except the current one. And it's using everything within its grasp to hold onto the empire it has built.

Problem with the so called new world order it looks very much like the old one.

The New World Order took advantage of open season on the world market in 1990 for an unprecedented level of global control never seen before in the history of the world.

When the New World Order was announced by Bush I, the U.S. only had one bullshit war under its belt: Vietnam. Now it has a whole portfolio.

And since that announcement, the cultural climate in the U.S. has transformed into something almost unrecognizable from the country many of us grew up in. Things that used to be niche are now mainstream and our culture and media revolves around them. And America has been transformed into a freak show. Know why? It's profitable.

The levels of corruption, greed, hypocrisy, moral decay and lies facilitated by the NWO completely dwarf the levels exemplified 50 years ago.

This is a far cry from the America of my youth. There were bad things back then too. The point is, those things have been nursed and nursed for 35 years unchecked, and now the beanstalk has finally reached the clouds and things are not as pretty up here as Old Man Bush tried to make us believe. In fact it's pretty ugly. But, back then there were many of us who predicted that....and....well...here we are. Funny how what was originally advertised as a magnum opus of conservative values has now been warped into a malignant tumor of progressive liberalism deep in the spiritual body of America.

So USMB is banned in Russia but Aftershock.news isn't banned by US government? Please tell me again how personal freedom of speech in Russia is much wider than in the USA.

What exactly is the New World Order globalist mafia? Are they the ones that brought 75 years of peace and prosperity to Western Europe?

RT and other Russian media are banned in the West but the BBC and SKY seem to roam all over Russia reporting their bullshit, how about that?

Sorry, this has probably been said. But Iran's set of options for revenge just shrunk significantly.

RT is not banned by the US gov't but most media companies, like Facebook, banned it for disinformation. Seems fair since Facebook is banned in Russia. We ban governments, they ban people. Got it.

The clown isn't asleep he is brainwashed, 75 years of peace, right! until they attacked Yugoslavia first time a European capital City was bombed for 78 days Belgrade since Hitlers Luftwaffe.
Brainwashed? Aren't we all? But at least I know East from West. How many wars have France, England, and Germany fought since 1945? How many did they fight in the 75 years previous to 1945?

No we are not all brainwashed some of us are capable of critical thought, it looks like you are not familiar with British and French Colonialism, as soon as WW2 was over they thought they could take up where they left off in their Empires, France was occupied by the Nazis for five years yet they inflicted the same crimes against the people of Vietnam and other places like Algeria until they were thrown out,why would the normal people who suffered Nazi occupation in France want it inflicted on others?
