President Donald Trump is likely to really make a major mistake with this Iran war matter by not ending it which will cause high energy and food costs! He doesn't seem to appreciate that he has weak cards he needs to stop with his ambitious goals. In the Wall Street Journal today there was article which was spot on about President Trump when it said he is trying to achieve with an economic assault on Iran what he couldn't with a full-blown war against the country! He is not fully to blame for his bravado and his attitude that he has the ability to dictate terms to Iran there is an abundance of political pundits and experts and politicians appearing in the media affirming President Trump in his approach.

Richard Haas who was President of the Council on Foreign Relations for over twenty years said it best in a recent interview on CNN when he said that President Trump's top priority should be reopening the Strait of Hormuz with full and free transit of all maritime traffic, all the nuclear weapon and missile technology issues can wait the Strait issue cannot wait it really affects Americans seriously and the regime in Iran has enormous power here if the war heats back up the regime can destroy a lot of the oil and gas infrastructure of other Persian Gulf countries and then we will be in dire straits if that happens with energy prices going into the catastrophic range!

Seriously President Trump needs to start behaving as if the bombing in Iran is over that he is utmost serious about ending the war. With the cease fire in Lebanon Iran seems to be committed to reopening the Strait but some leaders in the IRGC aren't on board where maybe ships will be able to transit the Strait but only if they are cleared through the regime and only if they transit the Strait through the northern section or Iranian side. President Trump needs to stop being overly ambitious with his blockade he needs to pivot and put that term on the table and it will be bargained away if Iran allows for full, free (no tolls, no registering) opening of the Strait for maritime traffic. The Temporary Cease Fire deal should be transitioned into an indefinite cease fire deal and negotiations can continue on the nuclear issue for release of frozen assets and other lifting of sanctions for Iran!

President Trump needs to stop being naive and living in his own world, Iran can fight the blockade it can keep the Strait shut down by using waves of drones and waves of missiles at commercial ships transiting the Strait they only have to succeed occasionally to succeed. The Strait of Hormuz is only twenty miles wide at night teams of Iranian frogman could swim out into the middle of the Strait towing a mine on a dinghy and release it into the Strait and make the Strait practically unnavigable for shipping! Iran could tap its allies the Houthis to start missile attacks on ship transiting the Bab El Mandeb Strait the exit point for the Red Sea; President Trump is gambling with a World-Wide Recession! If the Trump administration can get the Iranian Regime to some type of an agreement where both sides will allow free transit of the Strait he could create the following insurance that I would if I was President which is I would tell the Iranian regime this agreement will be kept because if it isn't for every ship the Iranian regime sinks I will sink two of yours so if Iran sinks a cargo ship carrying food I will sink two Iranian food cargo ships
If Iran sinks an oil tanker I will sink two Iranian oil tankers and I will consider any commercial ship going into an Iranian port or exiting an Iranian port an Iranian ship eligible for retribution even if it has a Chinese flag!

It gets me sick the political pundits and opportunists that get in front of the media camera and say you cannot allow the Iranian regime to have the power to close the Strait again in the future. The vast majority of military experts foretold before the war that Iran had this strategic and military option setting back the clock to where it was before the war is no big loss or set back. If these apparent great people really want to act responsibly they should advocate that Countries throughout the world that have a vested interest in maritime traffic going through the Strait of Hormuz to bank roll a canal system or river going through the country of Oman and the United Arab Emirates to allow maritime traffic to bypass the Strait of Hormuz during time of war with Iran by using this canal system or river and a deal could be struck by the countries bankrolling it that if it was a canal system that the toll charged would only be enough to operate the canal system it would not be a money making enterprise for Oman or the UAE!

President Trump needs to wake-up and smell the current politics coffee! Yes, Republican Senators and House members are holding the line against War Power Resolutions from the Democrats but if you hear what they are saying they are saying they want the administration to wrap up this war. President Trump could take the arrogant position on such a development and say well if I receive a bipartisan War Powers bill from Congress I will just veto it. That is a little shortsighted Mr. President because if you get such a no confidence vote I think you can forget your 1.5 trillion defense budget for next fiscal year, members of both parties in Congress are not going to fall in line behind an imperial President this is not the type of Democracy we have in America President Donald J. Trump!

President Trump has cut this once feared Regime down to the level of a Cartel. He needs to keep his foot on their throat by blocking IRANIAN PORTS ONLY which is brilliant. He holds ALL THE CARDS JIM. Your personal hatred of him does not change that fact and your thread, I predict, will go belly-up like all of the other TACO, MADMAN, PEDO BLAH BLAH threads about President Trump.

The Iranian regime is on its last legs.

Or last leg if you are the current supreme leader. :auiqs.jpg:
