We'll know by end of the week.

Honestly, it sort of shocks me that this isn't the most discussed issue on this site right now. The establishment is doing a terrific job at distracting the nation with other stuff.

Maybe it doesn't affect as many people as you assume. I mean I think it is political suicide, but otherwise won't make a bit of difference in my family's health insurance costs no matter which way this thing goes. We'll still be hit with that 3.8% NIIT tax for this year as well because I hauled in so much selling off investment real estate to fund the rest of our kids' college tuitions.

Great. you explain massive rate increases to citizens. That's what will happen.
Nothing to explain. The government is not in the insurance business and they don't subsidize my health insurance, why should my tax dollars subsidize illegal immigrants' health insurance. If they want free health care---go home. Schumer has signed the democrat's death warrant with his shutdown.

Obviously your party wants the issue to go away so you can get what you want now, with no pressure to do anything later. Keep wanting. The issue is at hand now.
Try bringing something to the table other than your preplanned talking points.

How much do they pay you for misinformation?

Why would they negotiate with Schumer. Schumer blew his leverage and in so doing, he opened the door to no benefits for illegals and, the biggest win, he may have canceled the ACA. Temper tantrums don't work---any three year old figures that out.
What benefits do you think are available to illegals?

Perhaps you can point out where I am wrong with credible information.

Tell me more about subsidizing healthcare insurance for illegals. How does that work?

Is there any reason to believe republicans will negotiate anything after incentive to negotiate is removed?
You and your cult can blame them for doubling Obamacare rates and ride that to the midterms.

The original ACA was awesome but republicans blocked it making the subsidies necessary. Perhaps you have a plan for healthcare. Didn't trump say he could easily do it better and cheaper? What happened?
Nope the subsidies were to help during covid, then Biten extended them, and there was a sunset clause, and that is over.

LOL...........Fed Unions turning on the dems?

The largest union representing federal workers is calling on Congress to end the shutdown “today,” siding with Republicans in their demand that lawmakers pass a “clean,” short-term funding bill.

Everett Kelley, president of the American Federation of Government Employees, released a statement on Monday arguing that both parties have “made their point” and it’s time to end the “avoidable crisis” affecting the federal workforce.

But the solution he endorsed, a funding measure without any controversial policy amendments, represents a setback for Democrats, who have demanded healthcare concessions as part of any vote. The shutdown is now on day 27 as Senate Democrats block House-passed legislation that would reopen the government through Nov. 21.

“This week, Congress pushed our nation into the fourth week of a full government shutdown – an avoidable crisis that is harming families, communities, and the very institutions that hold our country together,” Kelley said. “Both political parties have made their point, and still there is no clear end in sight.”

Could you forward me a copy of your daily talking points?

No problem, pal.

AI says you're supplying misinformation.

Subsidies were integral to the original ACA

The ACA was designed with subsidies from the very beginning to make health coverage more affordable for low- and middle-income individuals and families.
  • Premium tax credits: These subsidies, established by the original ACA in 2010, were based on a formula that tied the monthly premium cost to household income. They lowered costs for people with incomes between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level (FPL).
    • Addressing high costs: The high cost of health insurance was a major problem before the ACA's passage, with nearly 50 million Americans uninsured in 2010. The subsidies were specifically intended to address this core issue of affordability.

Between this, the lack of military pay, and ending SNAP for tens of millions of people, which will greatly affect huge food retail chains, this will ripple through and affect every single person in the United States. . .

The only folks that won't care will be those who net worth is well over several million.

15th post
And the right is going to blame Schumer for just not voting on the CR.
Which is correct
The subsidies came from covid, and had been extended by Biten they also had a sunset on them. Now it's back to the piece of crap ACA where their premiums are going to jump, and it will get hung around the political neck of Democrats

So you are saying the lack of demand will drop my food prices, huh? Good for me I guess.
