We'll know by end of the week.

I agree. However, if someone doesn't blink, we all go down on that sinking ship together.
All these problems our government is having would be a lot easier to deal with if we had an honest media, which, in reality, is just a co-conspirator with the Democrat party.

Why the **** are we not talking about the Largest red flag in the history of the United States?

42 ******* million people are on some form of food substance.

That is how badly the Congress has fucked this country.

Republicans need to use this as a push for MAGA. They need to get across to the people needing government assistance, that the more money spent funding other countries means the less money to help US citizens. The more money being spent because of people protesting against ICE, means less money to help US citizens. The more money being spent to defend other countries, who ripe us off with trade, means less money to help US citizens...

Lots of talk about premium increases if republicans refuse to extend subsidies. Many seem to think the increases won't be much of a problem, and the subsidies are just there to fund healthcare for illegals anyway. November 1 is the start of signup time, and each individual will see their personal cost of not extending the subsidies. I suspect one side or the other will regret the stance they have taken on the subject..
It was always a dumb idea not to actually address rising health care premiums but to just let them rise and then subsidize them by adding on to our tens of trillions of dollars in national debt. Leftists claim they are against health ins companies and big pharma and yet they do everything they can to make them richer, including paying them with government dollars.

As a short-term, stop-gap measure, possibly.

What Republicans AND Democrats need to do is start pushing for a society built on self-reliance.

That means from pre-school right up to graduation from high school, if we are going to maintain a public school system, it should be focused on NOTHING but the necessary skills to be self-reliant and the ability to live without government in their daily lives.

Independent, self-reliant people do not need the government to provide their necessities.

In other words, no need for the government to do anything other than maintain infrastructure, defense, and maintenance of our assets in land, i.e., parks and monuments.

Yes.

My dad taught me when I was very young that the world doesn't give a crap about you. No one will help you, no one will provide for you, no one will feed you, no one will house you, no one will put clothes on you, no one will scrub your skanky ass.

This is just the reality of life. The universe is at every moment that you breathe, trying to kill you.

It is your life; it is up to you —and ONLY you —to survive as best you can, and there are ways to learn how to do so.

In a nutshell, it is up to you to survive.

Sounds like we had similar fathers.

We have already seen our increases. My plan is going up $9 a month.

No. The fact that repubs are trying to ignore the issue is notable.
No ignoring it and you know it.
It's a topic for the appropriations process.
Why you keep fabricating falsehoods
is interesting.

Honestly, it sort of shocks me that this isn't the most discussed issue on this site right now. The establishment is doing a terrific job at distracting the nation with other stuff.

It’s too complicated for a 3rd grade attention span for the right.

When Progs come to power again have the gumption to pass national health insurance legislation. Then we can end this. Have the gumption to increase federal taxes on the rich and corporate/business interests in a huge increase. Then we can this. We will see what happens from there.

Many feel the ACA was purposely f*ed up from the beginning just to give the establishment an excuse for total take over of healthcare. . .

. . . if that is the case, this is our future.

Obviously your party wants the issue to go away so you can get what you want now, with no pressure to do anything later. Keep wanting. The issue is at hand now.
