We Need Socialism.

Who do you think the Fabian socialists are you ******* retard. They ARE the wealthy, and they want a two tier system, a very small ruling elite, and the rest Serbs.

Idiots, like you, fall for it every time.

Andrew Carnegie was a Fabian Socialist. He even financed a socialist newspaper in Scotland. He would spend 6 months a year over there.

A MILLIONAIRE SOCIALIST.; MR. ANDREW CARNEGIE PROCLAIMS IN FAVOR OF SOCIALISTIC DOCTRINES.

Well I just looked it up. And it says that Andrew Carnegie was not a Fabian Socialist. Which is no surprise. Because he subjected his workers to long hours 7 days a week, poor working conditions and low pay. He called it "survival of the fittest." As if he was doing humanity a favor. When in fact what he was doing was stuffing his pockets with as much money as they could hold. If Carnegie was a Socialist of any kind, then I am Santa Claus.

Do socialists worry, at all, about government having too much power over their lives?

Most poor are poor by choice. I don't fault them for that, it's their life. Socialism removes the need for good choices. That said America will never be a socialist country because government run businesses can't generate the money needed for all the socialist programs. Hell, capitalism is having a hard time keeping up with the social programs that we have now.

**** you and your "blame the poor" bullshit. It is as much bullshit as everything else you have to say. I wonder who pays you to spout such filth. You should go to my thread in the politics section called, The effect of money in politics." Read the thread, watch the short videos. Also, do you know what it would cost to lift every American out of poverty? $168 billion! With all the trillions this country is in debt, that isn't a lot of money. And in the thread I suggested, you will find out in the first video why this country has the amount of debt that it has. Guess what. It isn't because of the poor!

With a net worth of $10Million at the time of his death George Carlin was certainly a member of "The Club".

For how rich some people are, that is pocket change. For example, the CEO of Activision laid off almost 800 people then gave himself a $15 million bonus. He was already earning around $30 million a year.

Again with the false dichotomy. It's not a choice between enslaving yourself to government and enslaving yourself to the "private sector" (whatever that's supposed to mean). How about we skip the slave thing? Is that beyond imagining to you?

Bullshit. Politicians run things. They are subject to getting reelected. Business leaders in the private sector don't have to worry about getting reelected. And, let's not skip the "slave thing." Because slavery is what capitalism is all about.

Capitalism.webp

Seldom the case.

When your government is for sale to the highest bidder, who do you think wins the bidding? Who loses?

These aren’t difficult questions to those awake and not duped by state controlled media.

I would say, "never is the case." People are told by corporations through the media what it is they should need and should want to have. By the way, I have a thread in the politics section that should interest you. It is called, "The effect of money in politics."

The wealthy definitely are acting responsibly.

Congratulations. You actually said something too stupid to reply to. For a tiny bit of reality, go to my thread "The effect of money in politics" in the politics section. Pay extra close attention to the short videos I posted.

You failed to understand my point and jump to conclusions. I’ve never stated nor believed all rich people are corrupt.

Well you should. Because without at least some degree of corruption, they would have never become wealthy to begin with.

Do socialists worry, at all, about government having too much power over their lives?

No. Socialists worry about the greedy private sector having too much power over their lives. And for GOOD cause!

No. It’s not millionaires who are controlling our government. It is billionaires.
From what I have seen, millionaires can pool their money into some Super PAC. That has much to do with who gets elected.

So, no concerns at all about totalitarian government? You know it's been kind of a problem with socialist states right?

Trump is pushing for a totalitarian government. And succeeding. But who wants a bunch of rich fuckers having total power. Socialist at least in theory put the majority of people, the poor, first. Next, I don't need to hear your BS about socialist states. Compared to the U.S., all of Europe is made up of socialist states. (Among others) And they are getting along just fine.

The difference is billionaires have considerably more money and power.

So they willingly hand over to governments who are always more greedy than the private sector. The most greedy capitalist will eventually be satiated, no governmental will ever be satiated.
