In 2024, climate activists in New York City protested alongside anti-Israel protesters at a rally headlined "Climate Justice Means Free Palestine." Last year, climate change celebrity icon Greta Thunberg tried to storm Israel by sea on a flotilla protesting the country's war in Gaza, yelling "Free! Free! Palestine!" when she was refused entry.

And, last week, activists from CodePink, a far-left feminist activist group that has received funds from an American expatriate, Neville Roy Singham, living in Shanghai, took a break from their rallies supporting the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Cuba Communist Party to circulate a video on Instagram, attacking a Utah data center project backed by investor Kevin O’Leary.
Critics say the same activist ecosystem is now targeting America’s AI infrastructure and industrial power, in a development that experts warn could undermine the United States in its technological competition with China.

The attack funded by China to damage our economy has created coalition of green, anti Semitic, anti American socialists and communists supported by the democrat party. The goal is to hurt Americas AI development. A coalition of far left fanatics have come together to try and delay Americas industrial development and cripple our economy in the name of climate change and anti Israel fanatics.

America must lead the world in AI and data centers and that means an end to renewable energy which cant create enough power. Manufacturing will come to the nation with the most reliable low cost energy and that means nuclear and fossil fuels. Thats where America is. The left has used climate change to expand socialism and government control and the need for AI and data centers destroys that.

I call BS.

You are just looking for a foil that really isn't there.....Data centers are hated by right-leaners, I suspect even more so than the leftists.

A massive hyperscale data center project in Utah, called Stratos (also referred to as the Wonder Valley project), has been approved by the Box Elder County Commission and is expected to cover more than 40,000 acres — roughly double the size of Manhattan.

Turn the dessert into something useful. Sounds like good idea to me. The left is anti progress. Wanna bet they woild loive a wind turbine or solar farm on that land. I call BS.

The Stratos Project is a massive, controversial 40,000-acre hyperscale AI data center campus proposed for Box Elder County, Utah. Backed by investor Kevin O’Leary’s firm, O’Leary Digital, it is designed to consume up to 9 gigawatts of power and aims to establish American artificial intelligence and defense computing dominance.

  • Design: Infrastructure firm Gensler is handling the master plan and architecture, envisioning clusters of data centers surrounded by solar arrays and a mixed-use innovation district.

  • Timeline: The project is in its early stages as developers continue to secure funding and master planning. It must still pass strict Utah Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) permitting before ground can be broken.

I'd sooner have a Super Max prison on my property line.

And no, I doubt if a wind or solar farm of that scale would be allowed on the same property.

The desert was just fine on it's own. It's not like they will be growing food there....Just 1s and 0s.

So why was Trump just over in China making buddy-buddy with Xi Jinping if he's actively working to sabotage our economy?

By the way, it's not the just the left. I see plenty of anti-AI panic coming from the right also.

The data center issues are not hyper political partisan in nature.

Not everything is hyper political partisan in nature. True story.

That is true. I'm 100 percent against them as are plenty of libs. We can blame orange man for pushing this idiocy. Not only is it costing massive increases in electrical prices, they are also using up billions of gallons of water while we're in an exceptional drought.

That's why I can't really carry gop water....One of their biggest faults is when they see vacant land they want to build on it.

The dems are just as bad, they never saw a piece of land they did not want to put "projects" on.

Left to their devices the whole country would look like Soviet era block apts.
