Gosh, you say the funniest things.Of course it was anticipated. This is Trump, and his team of professionals.
seems like all you do is change a couple nouns and verbs and then repost the same article.Maersk, a bellwether for global trade, suspends two key shipping services due to Iran war
Danish shipping giant Maersk on Friday temporarily suspended two services linking the Middle East to Asia and Europe as the Iran war continues to disrupt global supply chains.
The company, widely regarded as a barometer of global trade, said the decision to halt the FM1 service, connecting the Far East to the Middle East, and the ME11 Service, linking the Middle East to Europe, was a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of its personnel and vessels.
It comes as the U.S. and Israeli-led war on Iran enters its seventh day, with the expanding conflict resulting in the effective halt of shipping traffic through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.
The waterway is a key, narrow maritime corridor that connects the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. Roughly 20% of global oil and gas typically passes through it.
Container shipping giants, however, have suspended operations through the Strait of Hormuz since the U.S. and Israel launched attacks on Iran on Feb. 28 and rerouted vessels around the southern tip of Africa.

The oil market is worried that Gulf countries will have to shut production if tankers are unable to pass the the Strait of Hormuz.www.cnbc.com
Iran borders the Straight of Hormuz, through which 20% of the world's oil is shipped. Anyone familiar with the geography of the region knows this. And they knew how disruptive to shipping through the straight an attack on Iran would be. You'd have to be a moron not to understand this.
Begging the question, is the inevitable impact of trump's war with Iran the reason he did not take the legal route of seeking the approval of Congress to start it? Is it part of the plan?
Or one could ask, was a spike in the price of oil anticipated but dismissed as a price to be paid by US consumers (like the tariffs have been) worthy of the end game? I guess we'd have to know what the end game is before answering that question. Was it regime change?
Son of Khamenei Is Top Contender for Supreme Leader
Mojtaba Khamenei would likely lead country in even more hard-line direction
If it was, the war trump unnecessarily started was a reckless roll of the dice. The narrative for the rationale to start the war has constantly shifted leaving the timing of the off ramp in doubt. If Khamenei's kid becomes the leader does the war go on until he is killed too? Do we keep killing Iran's chosen leader until they pick one the master of regime change likes? If oil breaks over $90 a barrel does that change the calculus for ending the war?
Are members of the regime asking themselves these questions? Or is the US hostage to an oft used approach of trump's he has articulated quite often?
Trump’s catchphrase for any circumstance: “We’ll see”
WASHINGTON (AP) — When in doubt, President Donald Trump has a ready-made response to any questions: “We’ll see.”
On Wednesday, Trump delivered his go-to line repeatedly. Asked if he would tie debt ceiling legislation to Harvey relief: “We’ll see.” On his plans for an increasingly aggressive North Korea: “We’ll see.” And on efforts to work with the Chinese president: “We’ll see how that works out.”

It means do what we say and you will prosper.Unconditional surrender is a bit of a troubling declaration, what does it really mean?
noThe threat of nuclear strikes on a civilian population throughout Iran?
noIs it possible that they will use that as the last card if all else fail?
The easy "off ramp" is to walk away and tell Iran if they restart their nuclear or missile or drone programs, we will "mow the grass" again. They might think twice. I not, we do this again in a few years.Very disturbing thoughts.
Trump did NOTHING to protect Iranians. He's murdering children with his war.
No, Iran is murdering their own children by using them as human shields. You’d think one of you would condemn that, as of yet, none of you have. You give Iran a pass on that so you can keep blaming trump.
What would you say if the US did this tactic?

Iran has begun laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz. To the surprise of absolutely NO ONE outside the administration. We're attacking those boats now. How many mines are already in there? How many more will there be? How will this affect shipping in the future? Are members of the regime asking themselves these questions? Or is the US hostage to an oft used approach of trump's he has articulated quite often?
Chris Wright doesn't either.Iran has begun laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz. To the surprise of absolutely NO ONE outside the administration. We're attacking those boats now. How many mines are already in there? How many more will there be? How will this affect shipping in the future?
Who knows! Trump sure doesn't. Hegseth doesn't. Rubio doesn't. The useful idiots sure as hell don't. Why SHOULD they? This was going to be a quick "special military operation". But at least Hegseth & Rubio compliment Trump a lot, and that's what really matters.
This is just inexplicable. Who in the world thought that Iran would just lay down? Does Wright not communicate with anyone else in the administration, particularly in State?Chris Wright doesn't either.
How Trump and His Advisers Miscalculated Iran’s Response to War
On Feb. 18, as President Trump weighed whether to launch military attacks on Iran, Chris Wright, the energy secretary, told an interviewer he was not concerned that the looming war might disrupt oil supplies in the Middle East and wreak havoc in energy markets.
Even during the Israeli and U.S. strikes against Iran last June, Mr. Wright said, there had been little disruption in the markets. “Oil prices blipped up and then went back down,” he said. Some of Mr. Trump’s other advisers shared similar views in private, dismissing warnings that — the second time around — Iran might wage economic warfare by closing shipping lanes carrying roughly 20 percent of the world’s oil supply.
The extent of that miscalculation was laid bare in recent days, as Iran threatened to fire at commercial oil tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz, the strategic choke point through which all ships must pass on their way out of the Persian Gulf. In response to the Iranian threats, commercial shipping has come to a standstill in the Gulf, oil prices have spiked, and the Trump administration has scrambled to find ways to tamp down an economic crisis that has triggered higher gasoline prices for Americans.
The last 48 hours has seen the clown car careening all over the place. trump said the war was nearing an end, then it wasn't. Hegseth emphatically stated we'd be bombing the shit out of Iran with all the bravado of a school boy bully. Chris Wright posted to social media a false claim that the US has escorted an oil tanker through the Straight of Hormuz, only to immediately delete the post. Sen. Chris Murphy revealed a briefing given to senators by the regime claimed the goal of the war was not to compromise Iran's nuclear weapon capabilities which was contradicted hours later by statements from the regime.
The biggest takeaway for me is it's become clear the orange piece of shit is managing the war according to how the oil market responds. $100 oil is politically intolerable and while the war planning is arranged to keep it below that level Iran has a say in the matter. If Iran's leadership decides to exact revenge on the US the price of oil is its most powerful weapon. Which is why the convicted criminal and rapist known as trump is freaking out over Iran's control of the straight. Shaking his rattle rather loudly with threats of terrible bombardments the likes of which have never seen before.
The thing is, the new Supreme Leader had his father killed by our ally, Israel. He may not be in a mood stop the blockade of oil tankers any time soon. Which is why when our Energy Secretary, one of Dotard's "best people," said he was not concerned that the looming war might disrupt oil supplies in the Middle East and wreak havoc in energy markets, he got it dead wrong.
One of the more comical moments during the interview given by the guy who paid a $2M fine for stealing money from a charity was when he claimed he anticipated the shock to the oil market he caused. Saying he thought the price would have gone higher. It will as time goes by unless Iran relents on the blockade. This is just inexplicable. Who in the world thought that Iran would just lay down? Does Wright not communicate with anyone else in the administration, particularly in State?
Oh, wait. State is now run and occupied by mindless sycophants whose primary skillset is kissing orange ass.
Maybe he could have talked to a goddamn General or two? Maybe a Pentagon janitor or receptionist?
It should be clear that no matter what Trump does or doesn't do, Democrats will SPIN it into negative propaganda. They did the same thing to Bush. BLAST 100% negative coverage out 24/7 over the fake news. Keep blasting it out there. Keeping fabricating lie after lie. Blast it 24/7 in the hopes that you can fool enough people into believing it to RIG elections for Democrats.
We get it, the Dem assholes can't win on the issues. They have no leaders, ideas or solutions. Propaganda is all they got.
This is just inexplicable. Who in the world thought that Iran would just lay down? Does Wright not communicate with anyone else in the administration, particularly in State?

The USA is murdering their own children. Gun violence is the largest cause of deal of American children.
You do nothing about the thousands of children who are gunned down every year. On average, 2500 American children die every year from gun violence.
And please, *****, drop that "blaming Trump" bullshit. Trump is being blamed for started an illegal war that he promised would never happen. The Mullahs are total assholes, but that is NOT your problem to solve.

None of Trump`s bombs killed any children? The murderers are those who start wars.
So, who do you blame for this?
And we should keep guns out of the hands of murderers. Currently, civilians own about 500 million guns across the United States. Our cotus allows us to own guns. So, you need to repeal the second amendment, and then you need to go door to door rounding up all the guns. We do what we can to prevent gun deaths, but you’re walking up a steep hill to try and ban all guns in the US.
Try that here in the States and you'll have another American Revolution. You don't need to ban guns or have people going door to door to take guns away from people.
60% of Canadian households own guns, but handguns are strictly regulated, and you have to prove a NEED to carry a handgun. It makes it easy for the police to tell the good guys from the bad guys. Anyone with a handgun is a criminal.
