Was this outcome anticipated? If it wasn't, why not?

Trump did NOTHING to protect Iranians. He's murdering children with his war.

Two wrongs don't make a right - ever. Trump is no different than the Mullahs. Neither one of them cares about their citizens.
Trump is murdering his own citizens, and these guys excuse and support it.

Maersk, a bellwether for global trade, suspends two key shipping services due to Iran war

Danish shipping giant Maersk on Friday temporarily suspended two services linking the Middle East to Asia and Europe as the Iran war continues to disrupt global supply chains.

The company, widely regarded as a barometer of global trade, said the decision to halt the FM1 service, connecting the Far East to the Middle East, and the ME11 Service, linking the Middle East to Europe, was a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of its personnel and vessels.

It comes as the U.S. and Israeli-led war on Iran enters its seventh day, with the expanding conflict resulting in the effective halt of shipping traffic through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.

The waterway is a key, narrow maritime corridor that connects the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. Roughly 20% of global oil and gas typically passes through it.

Container shipping giants, however, have suspended operations through the Strait of Hormuz since the U.S. and Israel launched attacks on Iran on Feb. 28 and rerouted vessels around the southern tip of Africa.

WTI crude tops $86, hits highest level since April 2024, Brent crude breaks above $89 a barrel

Iran borders the Straight of Hormuz, through which 20% of the world's oil is shipped. Anyone familiar with the geography of the region knows this. And they knew how disruptive to shipping through the straight an attack on Iran would be. You'd have to be a moron not to understand this.

Begging the question, is the inevitable impact of trump's war with Iran the reason he did not take the legal route of seeking the approval of Congress to start it? Is it part of the plan?

Or one could ask, was a spike in the price of oil anticipated but dismissed as a price to be paid by US consumers (like the tariffs have been) worthy of the end game? I guess we'd have to know what the end game is before answering that question. Was it regime change?

Son of Khamenei Is Top Contender for Supreme Leader

Mojtaba Khamenei would likely lead country in even more hard-line direction

If it was, the war trump unnecessarily started was a reckless roll of the dice. The narrative for the rationale to start the war has constantly shifted leaving the timing of the off ramp in doubt. If Khamenei's kid becomes the leader does the war go on until he is killed too? Do we keep killing Iran's chosen leader until they pick one the master of regime change likes? If oil breaks over $90 a barrel does that change the calculus for ending the war?

Are members of the regime asking themselves these questions? Or is the US hostage to an oft used approach of trump's he has articulated quite often?

Trump’s catchphrase for any circumstance: “We’ll see”

WASHINGTON (AP) — When in doubt, President Donald Trump has a ready-made response to any questions: “We’ll see.”

On Wednesday, Trump delivered his go-to line repeatedly. Asked if he would tie debt ceiling legislation to Harvey relief: “We’ll see.” On his plans for an increasingly aggressive North Korea: “We’ll see.” And on efforts to work with the Chinese president: “We’ll see how that works out.”

UAE is freezing billions in Iranian assets. And if the Straight of Hormuz is closed they can't export oil. Let's see how long the IRGC will work for no pay.

We had lower inflation than most of the world. These dishonest bstds refuse to acknowledge that inflation was global, caused by a pandemic, and that 9 percent was for a short time. By the time the election rolled around, it was below 3 percent.

Really? Everything going up 2X 4X was all my imagination? A $2 loaf of bread was $5, Frosted Flakes from $1.99 to $6 all of Obiden? $6 gas, $7 diesel had nothing to do with it? Empty shelves? All Obiden time. All day sucker.

LIAR. Biden's inflation spiked at 9.1%

Let me know when Trump's inflation tops 9.1%

Once again, you prove that your knowledge of the world's economy would fit into a thimble, with room to spare. It wasn't "Biden's Inflation". Unless you think that Biden was responsible for inflation all over the world.

The inflation was worldwide - due to supply chain issues around the world. In Canada, we were paying more than $8 a gallon for gasoline. Our grocery prices rose by 25% in some cases.

In the USA, grocery chains DOUBLED their profit margins, causing prices to spike. There was a LOT of profiteering by suppliers seeking to cash in on the shortages.

Gas price increases were the result of the "poison pill" Trump left for Biden, signing an agreement with OPEC on December 4, 2020 - after Trump knew he had lost the election, to keep oil production and supplies low as the pandemic ended.

Trump knew that Biden would be blamed for the resulting price increases, and the Saudi's did it to help Trump.

Let us know when you're not just parroting Trump's lies.

Well articulated.

I wonder how many lefty posters on this site are just kids trolling our dumb asses.

No way some of these posters actually believe this crap.

You can run off 100 accepted lies just off the top of your head, but lefties just seamlessly transition to the next lie.

“THE SHOT WILL STOP THE INFECTION AND SPREAD OF COVID.” has the be the All Time WINNER with lefties just buying bullcrap.

Demonstrably a lie, but lefties do not care. It is BIZARRE.
These posters do seem like troll. But they are only parroting what leading Democrats and the media tell them.

They start to sound like trolls when they are questioned about their statements. Their ideological masters are not often questioned, so the posters here have no examples to follow as to how to answer.

Bug seems to be dimly aware that war comes with consequences.

Meanwhile, Iran isn't much of a threat anymore.

The IRGC are Muslim fanatics and violent thugs. They will just steal from the average Iranian citizens.

It’s coming
A number of states are legally challenging Dotard's new tariffs. Tariffs having been the primary driver of inflation since the dark days of Dotard began in 2025.

Incredible. The base of the base of the cult right there.
You feel like shit because a Progressive is not President. We get it. We've been there. The position has turned into a security blanket over the decades for many people.

Iran MURDERS 30,000 of it's own citizens, Democrats silent. Trump steps in to protect Americans and Iranians, evil Dem shit stains protest.

15th post
It should be clear that no matter what Trump does or doesn't do, Democrats will SPIN it into negative propaganda. They did the same thing to Bush. BLAST 100% negative coverage out 24/7 over the fake news. Keep blasting it out there. Keeping fabricating lie after lie. Blast it 24/7 in the hopes that you can fool enough people into believing it to RIG elections for Democrats.

We get it, the Dem assholes can't win on the issues. They have no leaders, ideas or solutions. Propaganda is all they got.
WTI is up to $92 a barrel today. Thats not propaganda. Thats a real price increase to the energy cost for everything Americans pay.
