Thoughts From an Independent
There seems to be no clear objective, no cohesive plan, and no exit strategy

1. First, we bomb the crap out of Iran
2. Then we're going to force a regime change in Iran
3. Then we're going to send the Navy to escort ships through the strait
4. Then Iran very much wants to make a deal
5. Then the Iran campaign is nearly over
6. Then we're set to send our negotiators to the middle east.
7. Then they don't go because no one from Iran is going to show up
8. Then the Iran campaign has only a few weeks to go
9. Then if Iran doesn't to agree to open the strait the bombs will start falling again
10. Then Marco Rubio says "The offensive stage of Iran war is over"
11. Then Trump suspends military escorts for ships
12. Then Trump threatens to start bombing Iran again

...and the mixed messaging continues. It's no wonder this (war, skirmish, operation or whatever label you want to use) is so unpopular. Meanwhile, the strait remains closed, prices continue to rise, and the cost for this operation is soaring.

Still early enough to say that it could be over in a few weeks, but he hasn't articulated the clearest timeline he has and that sucks.

So far, he has told the truth. It is, of course, incumbent on Iran.

Again, this is wholly on Iran to keep it from happening.
