RSV: Matthew 24:6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
So if it comes to war with China or Russia or any other world power, who do you want to be in power to deal with it?
Since Biden took office:
Russia is at war with Ukraine and just itching to move into the Baltic states, China is building its military forces at an alarming rate and invasion of Taiwan seems imminent, Iran is again actively building nuclear weapon capability, the Taliban controls Afghanistan with impunity, North Korea is again test firing missiles, on Friday the Solomon Islands, in deference to China, refused to allow one of our Coast Guard cutters into their port to refuel, and presumably our embassy in Baghdad is being attacked and evacuated today.
When Donald J. Trump took office, Russia, China, Iran were saber rattling, North Korea was firing missiles over South Korea and Japan, war in Syria was raging, ISIS was on the move, the Taliban was near taking over Afghanistan, etc. In his term of office: Russia and China both became quiet and far more cooperative, North Korea stopped firing missiles, the war in Syria ended, ISIS was essentially neutralized, the Taliban posed no threat to Kabul, peace treaties were negotiated between Israel and Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Sudan and Morocco. The tensions between Israel and Palestinians were much lessened.
Four separate international leaders nominated Donald Trump for Nobel Peace Prizes for all those efforts that brought us closer to peace in our time than most of us have ever experienced. Nobody in the world feared our aggression, but there was certainly respect and a healthy fear of what we would do if provoked into retaliation.
So again. If it comes to war or imminent threat of war, who do you want to be in charge? Joe Biden and the perception that he is feckless, weak, incompetent? Or Donald J. Trump and his peace through strength approach?
