So, explain how this is going to cost you personally unless your income goes up and you have to pay more taxes. If your income stays around the same and no one changes the tax code do you think the gov is going to send you an invoice for $2300?

While I don't believe in the gov forgiving these loans I also know that if my income stays around the same I am not going to pay more in taxes.
