USMB Coffee Shop IV

One Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator can wreck your whole day.

I guess it begs the two obvious questions:
  1. Why would they use a course, left-hand (CCW) thread on the nosecone of Bug's rocket?
  2. Why would an explosive space modulator screw into the back of a telescope requiring lit by a fuse?

Now strictly speaking as a moderator:

This thread will remain open indefinitely, to honor Foxfyre.

To anyone new here, Foxfyre spent almost 20 years on this forum being a kind and optimistic presence, almost like a mother figure to some of us. As Ringel said, her husband let him and ergo, the rest of us, know she passed on March 5th.

I encourage the reader to go back through this thread and read her posts. Get a sense of who she was here, and do your level best to conduct yourself in that spirit.

May God rest her soul.

As you were, carry on.

This Templar knight will stand on station.

She WAS a decent lady.

I sadly did not know Foxfyre.
I'm truly sorry for her loss and to that of the community.
God bless her soul.

You can still get to know who she was by going back in this thread and reading her posts. I genuinely believe you'll be blessed by it.

Now, feel free to continue as usual, in the spirit of this thread.

Like I said earlier, I've been in the Bible. I finished the book of John yesterday, and am planning to start the epistles shortly.

Losing my grandmother, who raised me as my mother, has caused my faith to blossom. I've been seeing more of God lately.

I've taken it on myself to witness to my family as a result.

I'll pray for all of you as well.

I posted with her more 8-10 years ago than lately. She was one of those people that looked for the good in everything. I had the fortune of working about 7 years with someone just like her Dave. Fantastic fella. Always pleasant, always "stopped to smell the roses" along his life's journey. He was, and continues to be an inspiration for me. I learned the value of "an average day".
Over the past several years, I posted with her very little... but anytime I did, it was always met with a positive response.
I will say about her, the same as I say about Dave - if these two are not in heaven, then no one should be.

A break from the sadness...

My annual rite of spring in St. Paul, MN...The high school hockey tournament...This year featured two 5-4 OT championship games on the same day...If you can watch this and still not like hockey, you're comatose.
