Got my Chemo tablets today. You either have to wear gloves while handling them or wash your hands good after taking em. Took first 4 cpl hrs ago, so far no adverse effects

.

Learned something new yesterday --

I went into the bank and, in our usual casual conversation, I asked the teller why the humidity felt so much more oppressive than it has in the last four years, since I moved here, and all three tellers said, in unison, "corn sweat".

I live in the middle of thousands of acres of corn fields, and the combination of high temperatures and abundant rain has produced a phenomenon where the corn gets filled with excess moisture, until it sweats it out! I live just a bit over a stone's throw from a large corn field! I wake up with water condensation outside my windows and I even saw the condensation on the glass doors of frozen food cases at the store!

It's just really sweaty here! And if you look at the map in this short video, my area of SE South Dakota is not anywhere near the worst part of the country for this phenomenon.

Oh wow. May I put you on the vigil list Manonthestreet ? I hope I hope I hope you continue to feel well during treatment. And that it is 100% effective.

Now that's a new one on me. I've lived a lot of my life in farm country where a lot of corn is grown but never heard of corn sweat. But obviously it is true? Here on the high desert humidity is greatly welcomed on the rare occasions we have it. So often it is so low that we have to be very careful to stay hydrated and the lotion industry thrives because of us. :)

Well we're pulling for you for it not to go bad. I'm sure your wife is too.

15th post
I haven't posted much on here it's been a bad year first my daughter had bad results on a knee replacement and had to have a second surgery. She's been off work for about 3 months. Then My youngest in Germany son passed away, and today we lost my youngest Brother. Really feeling old.
So sorry Ollie. That's a lot to cope with. Parents aren't supposed to outlive their children. Hope daughter is doing better now. Was that the brother who has lived with you for a long time? Sending you a virtual hug of comfort.

For all those with joys we rejoice, and we pray or send positive vibes and keep vigil for:

Harper, the inspiration for the vigil list. More surgeries ahead.
Ringel05 for continued wellness and his brothers' families for relief from adversity and illness.
Hombre & Foxfyre's son Mike for continued wellness
Beautress for health and wellness.
Gracie for solutions and peace.
Mrs. Saveliberty for healing.
Oddball's mom for continued good health and healing.
Mr. Boedicca for healing
Ringel05's brother Dutch for continued healing.
And all our insomniacs having trouble getting a good night's sleep.
Manonthestreet for successful treatment.
SFC Ollie for comfort in loss of loved ones and for complete successful healing for his daughter.

And we keep the light on so those who have moved on to other places can find their way back. And we hope they do.

. He's my youngest brother and no matter what problems he had he hesitated to ask for help. He lived in a small 1 bedroom apartment and fought off throat cancer twice. Between those battles and beer he just gave up. Daughter goes back to work Monday.

It can frighten, frustrate, anger us when they won't do what they need to do to help themselves. I have certainly dealt with/deal with that in my family. But it is no less painful when we lose them.
