USMB Coffee Shop IV

Wife is slowly sliding into the cat rescue charity business. She has her own tax office with a room not currently being used. We spent part of the day cleaning it out so she can act as an overflow on occasion. Managed to catch 1 of the stray females and got a nice discount on getting her fixed. Rescue she is hooked up with has some celebrity star power money behind em and have relay helped get the stray situation under control
Wow. Good for her. Our daughter-in-law has been in the dog rescue operations for quite some time now without any funding. She finds people who will take dogs that are getting close to being euthanized and delivers them to those people all over the Texas Panhandle. She and son drew the line at taking any more themselves--they have five, all great dogs.

Was informed I had cancer early this yr. Probably should have been caught earlier but my Doc took a sabbatical with his wife to decide where they were going to retire to and the guy who replaced him simply went thru the motions. Had an op in April, found it in 2 lymph nodes. Been on chemo for a week. Went in today he was somewhat surprised I was back at work and had no I'll effects from it. radiation is next. See what happens.
Wow you're done with the chemo already? If not, hope you continue to sail right through it.

No still doing it. They gave me a big shot and some toxic pills
Well don't be surprised if the chemo does start having some ugly affects for periods of time but my hope is that you'll continue to sail right through it. Mostly my prayer is that this will eliminate the cancer and you will live out your designated time on Earth in wellness.

Little bumper car action on the freeway today. Didn't see it happen. Walked out front door to do something and there was 9 emergency vehicles on the shoulder with the inner lane blocked by HWY Patrol. Both vehicles went down the embankment but stayed upright. Didn't see any damage to the pickup, the compact looked totaled.

Interesting. I recall one account from a SETI spokesperson--can't remember if this was a documentary or from a movie--that said to date despite billions of cameras and phones taking pictures, nobody has ever gotten a good clear shot of a UFO. Somebody said there were thousands and thousands of car accidents every year but almost no incidents in which anybody got a photo of one happening.

(Now thinking this was a scene from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind")

I have never seen a car accident happen in real life--just on video. Have seen the aftermath of many though.

Unidentified driving objects?

Hi all, elders!
Glad to see ya all, I really missed this thread.
How are you, what's news?
Foxfyre, hello!
Sbiker!!! Good to see you. I think about you from time to time along with all the others who sort of dropped off the map for awhile. Hope all is well with you and yours!!!

I hate to miss and fail to acknowledge posts, most especially when it's one of our old timers checking in, but I do from time to time. Please understand everybody that this is not intentional. Just normal distractions I think.

I love hearing from everybody.

Hi! We are all sick with the disease named 'life' till the death, but not right now! :) But children are growing up, so life is becoming more regular... So despite of some features in health and job - all is excellent!
And how are you? Tell me something interesting about youself! :)

LOL, I do have3 swords manly for decoration. But the picture is photo shopped.
Wow, the great coincidence! I have 3 swords (three sword-dagger pairs) too! They are rubber-protected, for using in live roleplay, for me and my elder children... But look great enought to be also a decoration

Same here for the most part. We are living our no doubt much longer life with its trials and tribulations along with its rewards. You will be there one of these days too but for now good to hear you are well and enjoying this time on Earth. I guess we all have those 'features' in work and health from time to time.

By the way Save. How is Mrs. saveliberty's medical issue coming along? She is doing much better I hope?
A year and a half of trying various ideas put forth by the surgeon. Finally dumped him and went to a revision surgeon. Can't sue the first one, because you only have two years to file. It took us that long to figure out the first surgeon had made errors. New knee is better, but we are going next week to check on a recent issue. Hopefully nothing.

Well, she's still on the vigil list and we'll keep her there until you tell us all is good.

I sometimes wonder what is normal aging and what is not. For instance, being tired. Should I expect to do less and tire more quickly? Is it a mineral or vitamin issue? Medical problem?

It has been five or six years since my last blood series tests, so I went to a general practice physician. He gave me a series of blood tests and two x-rays. So far everything is normal except a slightly elevated PSA. Get the beloved colonoscopy next week. Never had one of those, but it seems more reliable than the cologuard test and the doctor can remove polyps while already there.

Up to this point, things have always come out my butt, not in. The less reverse trips in the better.
