I was in the middle class and a conservative. I only wanted to be left the fk alone and him not write checks my body might have to cash, while on duty. He and The Fed, simply were not great at dealing with the economy of that time, really little better than the Carter years. But, there was little I wanted the Federal Government to do for me. It is semantics. Democracy in the form of democratic elections are a feature in the Republican form of government specifically guaranteed by the Constitution.
