The US is trending towards authoritarian government under Trump

And you're hoping being a suck ass will get you a Big Important Govt. Job in the new regime, like all the other Democrats here.
Republicans, Independents and Democrats have had enough of a crazy man with his finger on the nuclear button.

There are a few MAGA idiots that will hang on, but Trump has burned most bridges and put the USA in the most danger since WWII.

Ironically, this insane foray into Iran may have saved this country's ass.

Trump has really shot himself in the foot here, and even his obedient podcasters have had enough. The question now is how much domestic political capital he really has remaining, especially with the mid terms coming up.

We'll see.

Hopefully he will now turn his full attention too the enemies within this America under siege by leftist agendas, and hopefully the same "epic fury", and justifiable emotional rage that he used against Iran, will also be used in a metaphorical, political and judgemental/justifiable way against the horrific enemies within. Not kill them, but make them realize their error of their ways completely..

And you were never worried that a mentally incompetent man, Biden has his button on the nukes? Partisans are so unbalance and blind.

Makes no sense unless you have completely given up on the system.
Well, they have really. Hardcore partisans don't see an election as a process for selecting leaders. They see an election as a battle in the culture war. And in war all that matters is "victories" for you "side".

Biden was incompetent but not dangerous. Trump is incompetent, crazy, and very dangerous.
Incompetent. And incoherent. With all the power of the POTUS at play, that makes both of them very dangerous.

I think part of what mitigated general concern over Biden was that it was a rather open secret that he was "managed" by an inner circle. Unclear who was in that circle.

I'm no fan of shadow governments - I want to know who's calling the shots - but I can see how this would have allowed people to think that "adults" were in charge.

With Trump, there's no indication that adults are involved.

This is so insane it sounds like a parody.

DOJ says it will use firing squads, electrocution again for federal executions

The U.S. government should add firing squads, electrocution and gas asphyxiation as methods of executing people convicted of the gravest federal crimes, the Department of Justice said on Friday in a report that noted difficulties in getting drugs for lethal injections.

The report was a fulfillment of President Donald Trump’s promise to resume capital punishment in his second term. In his first term, which ended in 2021, he resumed it after a 20-year gap, executing 13 federal prisoners with lethal injections in his final few months in office.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, who released the report, has authorized seeking death sentences against nine people after Trump rescinded a moratorium on federal executions by his predecessor, Joe Biden, the department said.
