Take the 747 gift. It doesn't have any of the required counter-measures that the current AF-1 has.
It could be retrofitted with those counter-measures and replace the 40-year old AF-1.
It's not like Trump is being gifted money in a secret quid-pro-quo bribe.

Perhaps it is a rebuke to the DEI oriented Progressive Socialist Communists who have neutered our competition-oriented society. A shot towards Boeing who is way overbudget and years behind in presenting the new Air Force 1 aircraft to the government. And to keep Boeing viable he even had to give them the F 47 contract. But, as news of the plane plan proliferated on social media Sunday, even some Republicans were concerned about conflicts of interest arising from the proposal.
“I’m sure the podcasters who are deeply alarmed by foreign influence will be all over this,” National Review editor Philip Klein wrote Sunday on X. “Call me a crazy RINO neocon, but I think it’s bad for the President of the United States to accept a $400 million ‘gift’ from an Islamist regime that funds terrorist organizations that murder Americans,” conservative writer and podcast host Ian Haworth argued. Conservative radio host Erick Erickson agreed.’

Amazing stuff just a day after trumps company agrees a new golf course in the desert.
Of course the gift is not to donny. Its a gift to the nation although only donny will be able to fly in it.
But its not a bribe in any way and in no way will it influence donnnys decision making.
I hope we are clear about that.
Howeverit seems the price of a trump is going up. Elons purchase now seems to be a bargain in comparison.

Set up a charity to accept the gift for you but you are the only one allowed to use the plane.
Doesn’t matter, we should not be accepting gifts from a country like Qatar. There are always strings attached

President Trump was concerned that this gift to America from the tremendous Nation of Qatar might violate the law.
So Trump ran the deal by the US Department of Justice, who researched the matter, and assured our President that it was a 100% Kosher deal
