Yes. I was just trying to address if the Qatari jet were ever used (in an official capacity) since democrats are so very concerned it might end up a gift to Trump himself.

Frankly, even that jet would be little enough payment for what they put him through.

Actually, there was an industry-wide scandal in the airline industry maybe 15 years ago where it was found out that people had been circulating substandard parts for repair and maintenance since parts that meet full spec and cert are very expensive.

I forget if they were used parts or inferior/foreign made or exactly what, but some of these parts made their way even into the presidential fleet.

The Air Force just bought 2 Lufthansa 747s. I believe one was delivered just recently.

Trump fucked up with the "gift" 747. The BBC said that it is being retrofitted to serve as AF-1 at an expense of hundreds of millions, for what?? In 2028 Boeing will deliver two new 747s, so the retrofitted 747 will go to the Trump library, after wasting taxpayer dollars on a retrofit.
