I am guessing there is more to this story. Trump relies on important information from intel agencies and at times he has ignored it. Someone or some entity probably grabbed his ear and advised him on information he was not aware of be it espionage or potential odds of success and strongly encouraged this course of action.

The war should not have begun as it did, I assumed that there would have been heavy planning already in place via the CIA and ready to execute the coup d'etat once the bombs started to drop.

It China and Russia were still delivering goods to Iran it is clear their leaders could have continued for months, maybe a couple of years. If they cut off the train supply channel to China that is something altogether different, but Israel shot a portion of it down only to have it rebuilt. This was circumventing the navy blockade.

Ultimately I suspect that the actions of Bibi, who has been handcuffed buyt now become like the far-right coalition. I have listened to many pro-Israelis, former Mossad and there has been division of the propensity for success in such a war against Iran, all of them pro-Israeli but seemingly honest about their assessment.
