Well, the Navy Proper. It doesn't take much to lay mines, just small boats. Still, I agree that we are dealing with this issue after being told we owned the waterways. I keep telling myself please that Hegseth and the military must have known Iran would pull a blockade and have an effective strategy to deal with it. That said, it finally does sound like our blockade is beginning to work without destroying the country and seeing a lot of people needlessly killed.
That is way down the road, after everything else is settled first. That will take months of digging.

Yeah, OK, we had them ultimately beat within the first days, but Iran is the 6th largest army in the world, not a road apple, with an economy 100% built upon military and weapons, and they are not going to just lay down. Frankly, we are accomplishing in weeks what normally should involve years at war--- look at Russia, now into what--- year 4 of its war with puny Ukraine?
