More precisely from the list of characteristics defining fascism . 1. Powerful and continuing nationalism. Fascist regimes tend toake constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans , symbols , songs and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

trump has had strong ties with the Heritage foundation. So strong that he had it's leader step down in August of this year. He was well aware of the Project and only disavowed it after it became public knowledge and put him in a very fascist limelight. Obviously he wants that power but not with the notoriety that it entails.
