Exoneration is not at all the same thing as acquittal. Exoneration would imply that it has been proven he didn't do what he has already admitted to doing.

He was acquitted, In a court of law that means that the prosecution failed to make an adequate case to prosecute the defendant rather than being found not guilty.

Exoneration is a finding by the prosecution that there is no case to be made.

This is not exactly correct. Exoneration occurs AFTER a person has been convicted, when new evidence comes to light that conclusively proves the person cannot have been guilty.

But, I agree that the prosecution (the Democrats) FAILED to make an adequate case. Maybe the house dems should have taken the process more seriously and let the Rs participate for the first 75 days?
