Need I say more?

Seriously, look at what this person is concerned about and what they aren't.

How many raped 12 year olds had abortions. Is that even a valid argument.
What do you think?

The story of a 10-year-old rape victim traveling from Ohio to Indiana to receive abortion care captured headlines earlier this month, illustrating what impact the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe V. Wade, a landmark decision which established a federal right to abortion, has had on access to abortion for people around the country.

While many attempted to discredit reporting surrounding the case, the identity of the suspected rapist was ultimately revealed when charges were filed against him. But still, it remained unclear how common abortions are among young people, especially minors.
According to the Guttmacher Institute, a reproductive health policy research organization, there were 4,460 pregnancies among people ages 14 and younger in 2017. The institute estimates that around half of those pregnancies, 1,960, ended in abortion.

The institute gathers its data by conducting a census of all known abortion providers in the U.S. every few years, but its most recent publicly released national data is from 2017.

While data released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2019 is more recent, the data is incomplete as not all states mandate reporting from all their health facilities and not all states report their data to the agency, Isaac Maddow-Zimet, a researcher at Guttmacher, told ABC News.

Lauren Ralph, an epidemiologist at the University of California, San Francisco's Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, told ABC News in an interview that she believes the CDC's abortion data is an underestimate by about 1/3.

Abortions in minors represent about 4% of all abortions in the U.S. every year, Ralph said, speaking of data gathered by the Guttmacher Institute.

The Guttmacher data shows that abortions among people between the ages of 15 and 17 account for 3.4% of abortions in the U.S and abortions among people under the age of 15 account for 0.2% of abortions in the U.S.

Im not opposed to abortion I just think thats a poor example. You said 12 the data is older. In many cases I support adoption instead of abortion.

Only in Lib La Land do two wrongs make a right
DAMN, are you people that damn ignorant, that damn blind, that big of a fool. And what the fawk you mean two wrongs don't make a right. Currently, abortion is completely banned in 13 states and early gestation limits apply in 7. Of those 20 states, 9 have no rape or incest exception. In the other, well I guess Republican believe two wrongs make a right.

That is the thing here. When everyone opposed to abortion also accepts that there will be NO exception for rape or incest, well you will find me leading the way.

What states completely ban abortion. There are near total bans not total bans.

Clever but shallow

Rape is wrong

But its no excuse to kill an innocent human being
So your solution is to make a little girl bear her rapist's child? Often the product of incest in these cases?
What of the victim's innocence?

Abortions in the first 2 trimester are not murder..simple as that.

Past the second trimester--I would afford all human rights to the fetus.

Maybe if we got to a place where parents were involved in their children's lives and God replaced Tik Tok, Facebook, and "woke" TV we could reduce incidents of child molestation AND abortion.

^^ That's the "right" that I believe in. ^^

Maybe---can't be a bad thing.

Of course, the largest positive factor in the reduction of child abuse in America has been the school system. Given that the vast majority of child abuse happens in the home--the school serves on the front lines of detecting abuse.

Home-schooling circumvents this safety net, BTW..and it IS a concern--especially in conservative religious households.
Patriarchal religions foster abuse of girls if they're not watched~

'woke' TV...don't let your kids watch such trash....or accept that in this era...the parent no longer controls the flow of information.

You support abortion. You can defend a rape and incest exception. Someone that completely opposes abortion cannot. Look at what you said, "So your solution is to make a little girl bear her rapist's child?". Well yeah, or put it up for adoption. If abortion at any point is murder, then does it matter how the baby was conceived? In other words, it is OK to let a rape or incest victim MURDER their baby. But, the single mother of two now pregnant with a third, on welfare struggling to get by. Nah, we make her have that baby.

Drug and alcohol abuse play a major factor in child abuse. In almost every case of abuse in the home, substance abuse plays (played) a major role.

Parental substance misuse has a major impact on the well-being of children. Research indicates that in any given year between 2015-2019, more than 21 million children in the United States lived with a parent who misused substances, and more than 2 million children lived with a parent who had a substance use disorder.

1) Adoption or no..the girl still bears the child.

2) "If abortion at any point is murder, then does it matter how the baby was conceived? " Just no---I don't support any abortion after the third trimester..and I do not believe that prior to that ending a pregnancy is murder.
The rape victim has rights also..and to let the state dictate what happens to her body..after her control has already so cruelly violated--is just plain wrong, IMO. For the record, if the victim decided to bear the child, the state also should not be able to force her to terminate the pregnancy..which has also happened.

3) The 12 year old and the 22 year old should have the same right to terminate their pregnancy before the third trimester commences. The Rape exception should be for parental consent--they should not have the legal authority to make the girl bear the child.

The only abortions that should be allowed is for the life or PHYSICAL health of the mother

It does happen, Mac-7, and it is not your business.

1. USA Today reports that pregnancies among very young girls (10–14) due to rape do happen, but they are statistically rare and not broken down by single‑year ages.

2. TIME documents a widely reported case of a 10‑year‑old rape victim who traveled for an abortion, but this is a single case, not a statistic.
